And that's a wrap on 2026 planting season!

Phew. There were many days in the last couple weeks when I didn't think we'd make it. And here we are. Watching sprinklers do their thing and praying for rain.

The best part of a stay like this is realizing you do not have to go far to feel like you got away.

Step outside, slow down for a minute, and make the backyard part of the experience.

Between the sauna, hot tub. the quiet space, and a little time outside, this is the kind of stay that makes it easy to settle in.

(We missed April. That didn't take long.)

So. Many. Things. Happening.

Flower field size is increasing. Last year we had 16 beds. This year, we will have 21-22 (still working on some spacing).

Row fabric is half in place.

Raised beds are set and filled for veggies.

Fields have been disced for sunflowers and sweet corn.

We put in a farm store (I will absolutely squeal with delight and tell you the whole story soon).

Electric was run to the barn and then to the farmstore. So a giant trench was dug across the property.

We still have a looooooot of trees to put in.

Welcome to May on the farm! There's always a to do list and everyone has a sunburn.
