We have a family farm that grows 3 varieties of heirloom and hybrid popcorn. We offer a full line o All of our popcorn varieties are non-GMO.

Located in the center of Dodge County, Wisconsin, our farm has been in the Steinke family since 1954. The summer of 2000 we began growing two varieties of heirloom popcorn, Baby Rice and Gourmet Black. These varieties have been around for many years and are the ones your great-great grandparents grew in their gardens to treat their families. In recent years we added the Tender White variety for pe

ople that like a larger kernel and more popping volume. We added a state licensed farm kitchen in 2003, and now offer many savory and sweet flavors of delicious popcorn for sale. Our popcorn is hand-made in small batches and popped when you order, so it is always fresh. Steinke Popcorn can be found at many retail locations throughout the state and every Saturday morning from mid-April through October at the Dane County Farmers Market around the Capital Square in Madison. We are harvesting the last of the popcorn today. Next we start drying it and getting it ready to pop. It was a good growing season. We were dry but we always had enough moisture to make the crops grow. The fall harvest was a success!

Fall in Wisconsin - what a picture perfect time for a roadtrip. Fall in Wisconsin also means it is Apple Orchard season! So this weekend, why not get in the car and drive to the picturesque Kickapoo Valley in the Driftless region of our state. While you are taking in the beautiful scenery of the changing autumn colors don't forget to stop at Sunrise Orchard near Gay's Mills. There is nothing tastier than the tree ripened fruit. You can also load your shopping cart with all sorts of Amish candy, specialty foods, apple cider donuts and pies and, of course, Steinke's Popcorn!

If you are in the Menomonee Falls area and are craving Steinke's Popcorn, stop by Karl's County Market, W156N5645 Pilgrim Road, Menomonee Falls. Along with our popcorn, Karl's is home to many flavors of award winning sausage. They have an amazing meat counter as well as many other local and hard to find food items.
There is a lunch time brat fry in front of the store.
You can also find Steinke's Popcorn in Karl's gas station right next door.
With all the fun and tasty selections at Karl's you will definitely need a shopping cart!

As everyone knows this year has been a challenge for farmers everywhere. First the spring planting was delayed because of the cold, wet weather in May, followed up by a very, very wet and cold harvest time. We had nearly 10 inches of snow before the end of October.
However, we got it done!! The popcorn has been harvested, dried and is ready to pop.
We have added a few new flavors to our lineup of ready- to- eat popcorn. These are flavors that we have sampled throughout the summer at the Dane County Farmer's Market and became customer favorites. They include; Lime Cilantro, Bloomin' Onion, Caramel Kettle Corn, Sweatin' Bullets and Sea Salt Caramel.

We would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. We hope you are able to spend time celebrating with your family and friends.

If you are looking for something to do Saturday morning or haven't made it there yet this summer, it will be a great morning to enjoy the sights, sounds and especially the tastes of the Dane County Farmer's Market. We will be set up from 7 AM until 1:30 PM all the way around the Capital Square in Madison. Stop by the Steinke's Popcorn booth to sample all the different flavors of popcorn and maybe you will pick out a new favorite!
