Hey Yall,

Most of y'all don't know how much I love books. No seriously, books are the greatest way to go on an adventure and never leave home! We have just short of a thousand in our home library, and I'm always adding more!

When I found out that our friend Jeanette Román was writing a children's book, I was over-the-moon excited for her and couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I was stocking Amazon, waiting to be one of the first to purchase it. Imagine my shock when I opened my email and found that I had been chosen to receive a complimentary advance copy of Pasture Parables Gordie Stands Guard!!!

What an honor to get to read her masterpiece before the world!!! 🥰🥰
The illustrations are so detailed that opening the book is like walking through the gate of the farm. You can almost smell the fresh air and hear the animal noises. Without giving too many details on the story because I really want y'all to read it, Gordie uses his faith and trust in God to help him protect the farm.

Hey Yall,
This morning's cup of coffee hits a little different as I sit here, lost in thought; the sun peeks over the horizon, gently nudging the woodland critters awake, while the voice of the late, great Mrs. Dolly Parton fills the room. My heart is still heavy from yesterday's news that she gained her angel wings.

Coffee time has taken a little longer today as I worked through a bit of a struggle with the thoughts of whether it's okay to feel this heavy and sad about the passing of a woman I never met…………. I found my answer in John 15:12: “ This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.” Mrs. Dolly was loved not only by our home but by millions of people from all walks of life around the world. She taught us how to love ourselves and the world around us, and how to do it with wisdom and kindness. So if you're questioning whether it's okay to grieve her passing, the answer is yes! Shed those tears and feel that heaviness. She was more than just an entertainer; she was the world's friend.

We love you, Mrs. Dolly.

Hey Yall,

I know it's been a minute since I posted. Like the season, our life is in a season of change. God blessed me with an amazing part-time job, and we started back full-time schooling with the boys. So a new schedule is taking a little getting used to. Im used to staying up half the night and sleeping in. Now I get to watch the sun peek over the horizon to say good morning, after still hanging out half the night with the man in the moon.....Send Coffee 😂 it's been a long two weeks!!!! But don't worry, we are still going to do some markets; we aren't quite sure what that is going to look like yet, but you can always find our stuff at Wise Roots Farm To Market Store every day.
