The PFC (People’s Food Co-op of Kalamazoo) is a natural grocer, deli, and farmers market operator cooperatively owned by over 3,800 community members. In 2013, PFC began serving as operator of the Kalamazoo Farmers Market in partnership with the City and the community of vendors. Our mission is to connect customers and market businesses through honest relationships, and to support community and local economies through a thriving market culture.

Hey friends and neighbors!
Our happy hens are in full spring mode — longer days, fresh green forage, and all that good stuff have them laying like crazy! We’re overflowing with beautiful, free-range eggs right now (rich orange yolks, thick shells, the real deal from pasture-raised birds).
To celebrate the seasonal abundance and share the bounty before it slows down, we’re running a limited-time special: Farm-fresh eggs at just $3 per dozen!
• Today (Friday): Grab them at our farm stand / local store pickup spot in the Battle Creek area — first come, first served while supplies last!
• Tomorrow (Saturday): We’ll be at the Kalamazoo Farmers Market with plenty more — swing by our booth early, as these deals tend to fly out fast during flush season!
These aren’t your average grocery eggs — they’re from hens roaming freely, eating bugs and greens, no soy fillers or junk in their feed. Perfect for baking, breakfasts, or just enjoying that superior taste and nutrition.

Kalamazoo Farmers Market

The Kalamazoo Farmers Market can trace it’s roots all the way back to 1913, but we’ve been at our current location on Bank Street since 1947. Every week, we feature more than 100 local farmers, artisans, and food producers, most of whom are operating within 60 miles of Kalamazoo! You can visit us every Saturday from May through November to meet your farmer and support local businesses.

We accept multiple forms of food assistance currencies, such as EBT, WIC and SENIOR Project Fresh, and Hoophouses for Health. Those using EBT can also double their money through Double Up Food Bucks, which matches up to $20 for Michigan grown fruits and vegetables. It’s a win win situation, allowing low income customers to shop the market and have access to more healthy food, while also helping to boost our local economy.
