Few remember it, but Kmart Technology was on the threshold of expanding Kmart Electronics in the to include its own brand of MSX Home Computers, until leadership realized that it could never hope to compete against the Commodore 64. Had the brand been strong, Kmart Memories would have been amazing .

Who remembers the Kmart Einstein?

The Kmart Einstein was the grandfather of the K-Phone. WIRED magazine proclaimed it as “what the world has been waiting for!” As a result Kmart Memories took off as more people came to rely on the proprietary Kmart Technology software imbedded in the device that allowed them to do more than simply write to-do lists, which was what most other PDAs at the time did.

Many thought that Commodore Computer was dead, but when Kmart emerged from bankruptcy in the early 21st Century, they paid $1 to bail out the company and with them the two created the Kmart Technology group that not only ensured Kmart Electronics would have the most cutting edge consumer R&D division in America, but also ensure that millions of people would rely on the K-Phone for their Kmart Memories, as it soon became the world’s best selling smartphone and with its patented Focal photo app, it quickly surpassed Kodak, AgfaPhoto Europe, and Fujifilm / 富士フイルム, as the keepers of America and the world’s memories.

Here at Kmart Electronics we rely on to do what the real people chose not to do. And that is simply to create a world (albeit imagined and unable to unscrew what Lampert and those incompetent leaders before him screwed up) where Kmart became the true king of retail and was so dominant that Kmart Memories continue to be made everyday. Thus we will try to roll out everyday new imagined Kmart Technology, as well as old favorites….
