It has been a rough start to the year with many friends battling cancer! A sweet amazing friend lost her battle with cancer. It is so hard as both my parents also battled cancer. Carlene worked at Boulevard Brewing in Kansas City and was a vital person at the tasting room. I wanted to honor her in the best way I knew how. I created a jam using a drink from Boulevard their Berry Noir. The jam is called Carlene’s Berry Boozy Jam! It will be one of my new flavors this year!

It is spring and that said I am seeing plants and flowers starting to grow and bloom! I recently installed another hive of bees and have two more coming! I can sit for hours watching these amazing bees!!!

A week ago I did some tastings at the Kansas State Capitol! This was an event to promote Kansas agriculture and processing of those raw goods!

Hello Everyone! Valentines is fast approaching and I will be set up this Saturday from 11-5 pm at Gilbert Whitney & Co. To all my clients in the Independence area come out and see me! I will be doing tastings and have all my jam and pickles, honey and mixers!!! You know nothing says Valentine’s Day like a pickle!!!
