Our planning committee is currently searching for the all Latino/Hispano restaurant owners and chefs wanting to showcase and grow their restaurant/cafe/catering business. We are focused on a diverse and wide scope of cultural foods and experiences for this year's Platos Unidos event. Please share your favorite places contact information with us to engage with our Comida event. Proceeds raised benefit the Greater Kansas City Hispanic Collaborative's student and community programs. GKCHCC is a non-for-profit, 501c3 organization. When: Thursday, August 6, 2026, Union Station Kansas City.

If you were at Comida last year and were sampling the enticing cocktails on offer, we’re sure you tried Diana’s absolutely delicious El Condor, a tequila-based libation specifically created for Comida. Well, now thanks to her fantastic work at Fern Bar, Diana has been nominated for the prestigious James Beard Award in Outstanding Professional in Cocktail Service. Wow!!! We’re rooting for you, Diana!

In Honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Taha and the Consulado de Mexico in Kansas City partnered to bring distinguished chef Ana Martorell to Kansas City. Saturday, September 27, will be in honor of the Greater KC Hispanic Collaborative! A percentage of the proceeds will benefit our programs - KC BizFest, Latinos of Tomorrow, and YLP.
