McDaniel Acres Local raw honey and farm fresh eggs for sale with all sales go to a non-profit organization (The Graeme McDaniel Foundation) started in my grandson's memory.

Farm fresh eggs are $4 per dozen and local raw honey made by my Katy bees is $10 per 12 ounce bottle.

Every penny you spend goes to a non-profit organization called The Graeme McDaniel Foundation which was set up in my grandson's memory. This is a honey frame that is almost ready to harvest. It takes 12 bees their entire lifetime to produce one teaspoon of honey. The bees fill the cells with honey and then reduce the honey’s moisture content to around 18% by fanning their wings. After getting the honey moisture content down to at least 18%, they cap the cells with wax. Once the frame has been completely capped, it’s ready to harvest.

Our bees are working hard to keep their hive cool during these hot summer days. Bees line up at the entrance and use their wings to “fan” the hive to circulate air and cool the hive.

Our fall honey harvest totaled 180 pounds (about 17-1/2 gallons) of local honey made by Katy bees. We also recovered 8.8 pounds of beeswax. Our bees have been hard at work! We sell our honey in 12 ounce bottles for $10 with every penny donated to The Graeme McDaniel Foundation.
