Schools almost out, memorial weekend is coming, and more family time is almost here! Perfect timing for a family game night! So I thought I’d share our most popular one. The classic card game of phase 10 is one of the great family past times from my childhood, and still is a favorite now with my family! This fun box set makes keeping track of your phases so simple! Also-you can customize your box with any saying you want. 😁

Did you know that we don’t charge any extra for customization? It’s all free! Add any name, saying or quote to your order and we will happily put it on. The only time we charge is if we will have to do a re-design of the product itself. Otherwise go ahead and let us know what you’d like to add!

It’s been a bit since I’ve posted about our stacking egg trays! They’ve consistently been a crowd pleaser, especially the black stained sets! You can get them with the engravings on the sides or plain, and as always we are happy to customize the fronts to whatever you want them to say! Perfect for all the chicken herders in your life, they are such a space saver. I can stack them six high and they still fit on my upper cabinets and take up so little room!

I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone that came out to support us in Farmington last week. It truly means the world to me and my family! And, now that it’s over, I wanted to share some of my leftovers and give the chance for those who didn’t make it to the craft fair to still grab some awesome things before Mother’s Day this weekend and teacher/graduation gifts with the end of the school year so close!

Ok, did I leave you in suspense long enough? A couple days ago I asked if anyone knew what we were making, by looking at the wood cutout scrap from the laser. And NO ONE guessed it! So, here is the big reveal! Drum roll please…….. pocket Jesus! This tiny little Jesus can go everywhere with you or your loved ones. He can fit in the tiniest hands and smallest pockets and can bring peace, comfort or just a smile at any time. With His arms outstretched, you can feel the welcoming draw of a hug and the warmth of His smile. So, if you need a pocket Jesus, send me a message! It’s time! Celebrate St.Patrick’s day with us at Simple Treasures today! All week long 9 am-9 pm except Saturday it’s just till 6pm. Come shop all the amazing, talented crafters and have a fun time! As Easter approaches I wanted to share our newest addition to the shop! Absolutely perfect to display in your home for Easter as we celebrate Christ and His resurrection. If you or anyone you know has been looking for a way to focus more on Christ this year, this is a great place to start.

This art piece is made of 6 layers of Baltic birch that has been laser cut, sanded and then stained with different colors. Each wooden layer depicts a part of the Saviors journey in His last days and His resurrection.

We have the tree that represents the garden of Gethsemane where he atoned to the world.

Then the crosses on the hill, where He was crucified and died for us.

The tomb, where He was laid.

The open door proclaiming his resurrection.

Then the Savior Himself, standing with arms open. He lives!

The background piece also shows symbols of Him. With the sun (also meaning The Son) spreading light. And a dove, as a symbol of peace. For He is the Peacemaker.

Let me just say… God knows best! Some of you might recognize this Easter display. I released the first version of it about a year ago. I was super proud of it. I had spent a lot of time studying the scriptures that would go with each piece, not to mention all the time physically designing and modifying and troubleshooting the actual parts. When I had finally posted it I was so excited and proud! But earlier last month Etsy flagged it and removed it from my shop saying that it didn’t meet their creativity standards. Basically they thought that it was something mass produced that I was purchasing somewhere else and then reselling it on Etsy to appear handmade. I was devastated. I created this product, top to bottom in my home. I run the laser. I sand, stain and glue each and every part with my own hands! But there’s no real winning against Etsy on these types of situations. The advice I was given was to make a new listing and be sure to showcase the “handmade process” of making the item so it cannot be flagged again.

So left with the opportunity revamp this product and relaunch it, I had a thought. The original piece only had 5 parts. Starting with the crosses and finishing with the savior. This time I had the thought to add the tree. An olive tree to be exact. With a stone next to it where I picture Jesus kneeling in prayer and humbly fulfilling His calling. The scriptures that accompany this piece are about the atonement and what He did in Gethsemane. As I was creating this I couldn’t believe that I had even left it off in the first place! The is THE reason He came!

So what started out as a huge disappointment and I perceived as a roadblock from Etsy actually turned out for the better. I think the new Easter Display is even more beautiful and more meaningful than before! The scripture advent walks through the saviors time in Gethsemane to his resurrection and reminds us that He lives!

So if you read all this, good job! Know that I’m grateful for you and I hope you find Christ in your Easter season and always!
