Things are growing here at Hopeful Hives!
We have two new hives started from swarms we gathered.
We have blooms popping out in our garden - cucumbers and tomatoes.
We have chicks hatching in the incubator- four so far with three more pipped and loads more waiting!

Everyone always asks about it...Now you know.

A colony of honey bees (Apis mellifera L.) does not hibernate in winter. The bees form a cluster, clinging tightly together on the combs in the hive. The outer bees form an insulating shell that prevents excessive loss of heat. Within the cluster the warmth permits normal cluster activity such as rearing the young and consuming food. It's amazing how these tiny creatures work as a community when the going gets tough... we could learn a lot from them!

Great news! Ths year, we were able to grow our own plants in our greenhouse. We would love to sell what we have extra. Here is some information, all our our seeds are heirloom and non GMO! If you see something you want, let us know!

Good news! We have had calls from people looking for raw natural honey, as they are getting ready for spring allergy season. Even better news: We have it for them...and for you!

Great news! Hopeful Honey will be at the craft Fair in Millersburg tonight and we will have a basket of our awesome stuff for raffle at the St Edward Christmas Bazaar tomorrow!
