Orthodox Lent, also called Great Lent, is a 40-day period of spiritual preparation for Pascha (Easter) in the Eastern Orthodox Christian tradition.

Orthodox Easter is our most busiest and fast paced season at The Greek Store, but we want to slow it down and share our traditions amongst our family, friends, and followers.

During this time, believers avoid certain foods (like meat and dairy) and try to simplify their lives, not just physically but spiritually. Believers aim for humility, self-control, and a closer relationship with God.
