Inspired by Bowser, the red footed tortoise that lives in their home and the corresponding idea of slow and steady resilience. Using hydroponics systems, they grow nutrient dense microgreens, nurturing the idea of growing food where it is needed such as urban environments.

We LOVE our Pacific Northwest cherries! After Turkey, the U.S. is the world’s second leading producer of cherries, with Washington State leading the pack.

Cherries are a good source of Vitamin C and anthocyanins which have been linked to lowered risk of Alzheimer’s, heart disease, and diabetes.

Highly perishable and with a short availability window of only a few weeks, this prized early summer favorite is delicious to eat raw but is also a baking icon - cherry pie, anyone?

Too many cherries and not enough time? Freeze them: Wash, stem and remove the pits. Flash freeze on a baking sheet in a single layer to keep from clumping, then transfer to a freezer bag or freezer-friendly container.

Recipe Idea: Everyone’s got a great cherry baking recipe, so how about trying this simple 4 ingredient, no cook dish that straddles the line between savory and sweet. Macerated Cherries with Almonds, Mint, and Ricotta by Serious Eats - try it for breakfast, a snack, dessert, as lunch on toast! https://www.seriouseats.com/sweet-sour-macerated-cherries-recipe-11755503

Vijay and crew will get your knives in tip top shape! Bring any knives in need of sharpening or even repair, including serrated blades, scissors, garden tools, and more. They can "handle" it all 😉

Tip from the man himself: rolling knives up in dish towels then placing in a travel bag is a safe, effective way to transport them to the market!

There are lots of free parking options close to Town Square, but it’s helpful to know all your options!

City Hall is kitty corner across the street to the Market - you can park in the underground garage itself, or in the lot behind adjacent to the skate park.

The northwest corner of the Kenmore Park&Ride makes for an easy walk - cross 73rd and walk 181st two blocks directly to the Market!

There is also a lot of free street parking - you may get lucky right on 68th St north of the Market, or just one or two blocks farther there are always available spots on NE 185th St and NE 182nd St. Please follow any signs regarding parking rules.

Let’s support our local small business neighbors by respecting their parking lots. Please do not park in the lot northwest of the Market between Kenmore Camera and Stoup Brewing.

We hope to see you at the Market! Find us on 181st St in front of The Hangar at Town Square in downtown Kenmore, Wednesdays from 3-7pm through August, starting this week!
