Tomorrow we will be at the Haymaker Farmers' Market
We are super excited to have both plants and produce for purchase!
Plants:
-5 types of tomatoes
-Peppers: sweet, jalapeno, cayenne, habanero, mirasol/guajillo, and ghost
-Tomatillos
-Rosemary
-Celery/Celeriac
-Chard
-Kale
Produce:
-Arugula
-GIANT kale
-Radishes

Curious how we make our beds? We use a gardening process called "No Dig" which is where we try for minimal disturbance of the soil. This keeps in place natural relationships between soil organisms.
First, we lay cardboard on top of the grass and water it. This acts as a temporary w**d barrier which will break down after a few months. Next, we use our own homemade compost which will provide nutrients long-term. We top it with composted cow manure which we will plant seedlings directly in. We finish with wood chip paths to keep w**ds down between rows, and which will add structure and nutrition to the soil as they break down. There you have it!

Tomatoes, hot peppers, tomatillos oh my! Starting to get very, very excited for our summer veggies! I can't wait to eat a fresh tomato straight from the garden. 🤤 We will have some of these plant beauties for sale at our next Haymaker Farmers' Market on May 29!
