Bulk Beans at the Farm!

Beans are booming! This week, we are offering 5 lb bags of Blue Lake Green Beans for $25! (That's about $5/quart — regular price is $7/quart at the market.) Our bulk bean special continues: 5 pound bags for $20, available for pick-up this week at the farm. Our farm refrigerator is packed to bursting with both green and yellow beans, just picked Sunday and Monday (and we're picking more every day). They are beautiful—please come take some off our hands!

We're also offering a special (ham), beans, and potatoes combo: 3 quarts of beans and 2 quarts of potatoes for $20. We provide the veggies, you track down the meat—try stopping by one of our great area producers for some local, farm-raised ham (let us know if you need suggestions)!

Our Wednesday farm stand will be open this week from 3:00 - 6:00 pm, per usual, with all of our seasonal produce. We'll have Heron Hill Farm sweet corn, but in limited supply. Please text ahead to reserve if you would like to get some corn!

Our Wednesday Farm Stand is open TODAY from 3:00 to 6:00 pm — come see us at the farm to shop our homegrown summer produce! This week, we're featuring special prices on all tomatoes (from single tomatoes all the way up to pecks!) — perfect for all your slicing, dicing, sandwiching, roasting, canning, juicing, saucing, salsa-ing, and caprese-making needs!

People often ask us what kind of tomato we like to use for things like sauce and juice and salsa, and our answer is usually all of them! We find that combining several different varieties of tomatoes together provides much greater depth, complexity, and balance of flavor, yielding a product that (we think) tastes batter overall. That's why we sell so many baskets of mixed seconds and canners! The trays in this photo are loaded up with a little bit of everything, ready for roasting and destined for the freezer — our favorite way to process and preserve tomatoes!

Our pop-up farm stand has returned! Come shop in person at Heron Hill Farm Wednesdays from 3-6 pm. We'll have loads of classic summer produce, including the summertime trifecta: our unsprayed, non-gmo sweet corn, beautiful blue lake green beans, and a rainbow of homegrown tomatoes. Today, the stand will also feature new potatoes, yellow wax beans, zucchini, squash, peppers, eggplant and more -- PLUS, your choice of all-white or bicolor corn!

PLEASE NOTE: Our non-gmo, un-sprayed sweet corn is picked to order, so please let us know how much corn you'd like in advance so we know how much to pick — call or text Jerry at 330-842-7268 to claim your ears!
