Pretty proud of these two grow outs in my project flock. They both have beautiful muffs and decent leg feathering, and the rooster has a gorgeous sheen you just can’t capture in the barn, he dang near glows green. 😍 I’d like to put him over some quality English Orpington hens and maybe some quality large fowl Cochins hens for a little more size and shape, and maybe heavier feathering down the legs with the Cochins. His sire is a blue f2 olive egger and his mama is a black copper maran. The little pullet is sired by the same rooster and I’m pretty sure her mama is either my f2 olive egger or a partridge Cochin hen. She has a little leakage in her color but I’m loving her shape, and she has a little better leg feathering. I’ll probably cross her to a good black Ameracauna rooster if I can get one for more egg color.
