We have 2 babies this morning 🖤💛

For the past few weeks, we had one of our sapphire sky girls, who we started calling Bailey because she went broodie in one of the bails of hay. 🥰
This morning, when I went to feed her, she was gone with clear evidence that she put up a fight for her babies 💔
Now we wait..🤞🏼 she wasn't off them too long.

Whatever it was took out our last 2 OG's, the twins, bean & rose. It was not like the attacks from an Owl or Hawk... a fox would have killed everything. I wish I knew what it was 😕

Being a 🐔 tender in this heat is just ridiculous!! You get so scorching hot that sweat starts trickling down your scalp, across your forehead, and all down your superheated, fire-engine face, And meanwhile, your hands are caked with egg gunk, feed dust, 💩 and who-knows-what from changing water dishes, so you play a game of chicken and dare not wipe the sweat before it reaches your peepers... boy, does that 🔥 burn until you can rush inside to douse your face.
Super thankful for the hi-lo driver at Sends mill that loaded my truck with feed today ❣️ This heat is no joke!!
