We’ve been learning a lot about butterflies over the last couple of weeks on RHomestead, and today was release day!

Lamie Pie has had a very dramatic day… 😅🐾

In the last 24 hours, she has bravely endured:
• A double hindquarter amputation
• Complete tail removal
• Emergency paw repair
• Eyeball-ectomy (don’t worry, she says depth perception is overrated)
• And a full ear reattachment

…in other words: Nell destroyed her favorite toy and is currently living her best life like nothing happened 🤦‍♀️ 😂

Great big shout out to Valley hatchery. I was reluctant to use Mail order for my meat, birds and turkeys this year because my past experiences have not been great. I selected a new hatchery this year and they have been Beyond what I ever expected. Everyone of my chicks and turkeys, all 61 of them arrived alive and appeared to be very healthy.
