Rumor has it the Golden Ticket might make an appearance at the Kingston Farmers Market tonight.

Or it might not.

We have been specifically instructed by the highly trained Golden Ticket Security Division to say absolutely nothing. Unfortunately, we’re terrible at following instructions.

👀 Look around.
👀 Shop the vendors.
👀 Question everything.
👀 Become mildly suspicious of anyone who looks too comfortable.

Somewhere between the sourdough, sweet corn, and questionable decisions made by market management… $20 in Market Bucks could be waiting.

Find the Golden Ticket → claim it → bring it to the Market Manager → BOOM. $20 to spend at the market.

Is it in Kingston tonight? Marlette Farmers Market? Caro Farmers Market?

We know things. We’re just not saying things. 😏

Market starts at 4 PM tonight. Come ready and bring the family, support the vendors—and keep your eyes OPEN.

And please… do not interrogate Billy the Goat. He has requested an attorney. 🐐🎟️

KINGSTON… IT’S MARKET DAY. 🚨

And would you look at that — Mother Nature finally appears to have read the schedule. 😂☀️

The forecast is looking downright respectable today: sunshine, comfortable temps, and apparently no immediate plans for hurricanes, Canadian smoke, biblical winds, or other nonsense. We’ll take it.

🌽 Fresh local goodies
🥖 Baked goods
🍿 Snacks
🥤 Drinks
🍴 Food
🎶 Good times
🛍️ Local vendors who would very much appreciate you buying enough stuff that they have lighter vehicles on the ride home.

We’re getting late into the season, folks. There aren’t unlimited Fridays left, so DON’T BE THE PERSON WHO SAYS IN OCTOBER:

“Man… we should’ve gone to the farmers market more.”

YES, GARY. YOU SHOULD HAVE.

Oh, Marlette. 😂🎟️

A Golden Ticket hidden at ONE of three markets… and nobody knows where?

Kingston would like to formally announce that we have absolutely no idea where it is.

Which is exactly what someone who knows where it is would say. 👀

Good luck, Marlette Farmers Market. Good luck, Caro Farmers Market.

Kingston people have been training all summer for this. We’ve lost car keys, children, husbands, and at least one sense of dignity at the market.

Finding a golden ticket should be easy. 😂🏆

Last night was going suspiciously well… 😂

Beautiful weather.
Great crowd.
Vendors were busy.
Music was playing.
Kingston actually showed up.

We should’ve known something was coming.

About halfway through the night, Mother Nature looked down and said:

“Absolutely not.” 😂

The wind picked up, the sky got dark, tents started getting held down with whatever nearby object weighed more than 14 pounds, and approximately 37 people suddenly became certified meteorologists.

“Looks like it’s going north.”

“Nope, definitely coming this way.”

“My radar says 12 minutes.”

“My knee says rain.”

But somehow…it all worked out.

The weather held together, nobody got relocated to Tuscola County by a pop-up tent, and it turned into a BEAUTIFUL night at the market.

Most importantly — KINGSTON SHOWED UP. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out, supported our vendors, grabbed some food, enjoyed the music and spent your Friday night downtown with us.

And thank you to our vendors for once again proving that farmers market vending is roughly 40% selling products and 60% protecting a canopy from becoming an aircraft.

Another great Friday night in Kingston.

We’ll see everyone next week.

Weather permitting… which apparently means absolutely nothing around here. 😂

After what feels like weeks of storms, humidity, rain, wind, heat, and Mother Nature generally having a personal problem with Kingston… we might finally be catching a break. 😂

We’re not saying it too loudly.
We’re not making eye contact with the radar.
And absolutely nobody knock on wood because at this point that might trigger a tornado.

But right now, tonight is looking pretty darn decent!

🎶 LIVE MUSIC STARTS AT 5 PM!
🛍️ Vendors will be set up and ready
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Bring the family
🌤️ And enjoy an evening downtown while Michigan weather temporarily forgets we exist.

Kingston Farmers Market — TONIGHT!

Come out, support the vendors, grab some goodies and enjoy the music.

And please… nobody tell Mother Nature we posted this.

WE’VE BEEN ACCUSED OF USING CLICKBAIT. 🚨

And after a lengthy internal investigation involving absolutely no lawyers, several questionable Facebook posts, a goat, a porta potty, and whatever other nonsense we’ve dragged into this page…

We plead guilty. 😂

Yep. Sometimes our posts are ridiculous. Sometimes the picture has almost nothing to do with vegetables. Sometimes you probably click just to figure out what in the hell is going on.

That’s the point.

Because every click, comment, share and “what are these idiots doing now?” puts the Kingston Farmers Market in front of more people.

And more people seeing our posts means more people coming downtown.

More people downtown means more customers standing in front of our vendors.

And more customers means the farmer, baker, grower, food maker and small business owner who loaded up their vehicle and took a chance on our little market gets a better shot at going home with an empty table and a full pocket.

We don’t have a giant advertising budget.

We don’t have a marketing department.

We’ve got Facebook, some questionable judgment, and a willingness to make ourselves look completely ridiculous if it gets people through the gate. 😂

And you know what?

We’ll take 10,000 people clicking on something stupid if it gets 100 of them to show up and support a local vendor.

So yes…

The headlines might be dramatic.

The pictures might be absurd.

Billy may end up somewhere he has absolutely no business being.

And apparently the porta potty has developed its own storyline.

But behind all the nonsense is something we take pretty seriously:

❤️ Supporting our vendors.
❤️ Giving our customers something fun to look forward to.
❤️ Bringing people into Kingston.
❤️ And proving a little small-town farmers market can make some noise.

So if you see one of our posts and think…

“THERE’S NO WAY.”

Click it.

We probably need the engagement. 😂

And while you’re here, come spend a few bucks with the people who are the entire reason we’re doing this in the first place.

CLICKBAIT WITH A PURPOSE.™

See you Friday. 🐐🥕🍞
