Please be aware that there is a man in the Kingston area who has been approaching people and asking to borrow money. He may claim that his car needs a tow or use another emergency as an excuse. Based on repeated reports, the money is not actually being borrowed—it is allegedly not repaid.
If someone you don't know approaches you with this type of story, use caution before giving them money. If you believe you've been the victim of a scam, consider reporting it to your local police department so others can be warned.
