Join us on the 4th, our county's 250 th t. anniversary as we welcome the newly naturalized citizens from the 10 o clock ceremony at Harmony Hall with an all American lunch of hot dogs and apple pie! Our regular vendors will be open at 8, the festivities begin about 10:30. There will be fun events sponsored by the Community Council for the Arts, smART, our Recreation Dept and , of course, the Bird Dawgs!Yes, it will be hot, but our Community Kitchen has AC , so you could eat your hot dog in there. Hope you will come to have some family fun

The Farmers Market will partner with Kinston/Lenoir County Parks and Recreation Dept., Lenoir County Cooperative Extension, Smart Kinston Foundation, and the Community Council for the Arts-Kinston, NC to host a July 4th celebration in honor of America's 250th anniversary.

Participants at the Historic Harmony Hall naturalization ceremony will be honored, as well. The event will feature hot dogs, apple pie, art, games, and baseball. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and run until 2 p.m.

The market is offering an impressive selection today as Seraphim has surpassed expectations with challah bread, rustic French loaves, bagels, cinnamon rolls, and beautifully crafted Yule logs.
Sandra has farm fresh eggs and banana bread, Teri has delightful crafts and Pat has roasted peanut from SwamsnorobUmitef Methodist Church. The Smiths have lots of greens and also jams, jellies and pickles. Mary Ann Canady has delicious roasted pecans in several flavors and last but not least , Rodney has pork skins, pork rinds and gunnel cakes .
