All of our beef is from the Midwest, and the pork is brought in from Missouri farms and butchered on site to give you the freshest cut for your dinner table.

This week, Luke sits down with his dad — the team behind Fox’s Finest Meats, Seafood & Marketplace, now open on the corner of West Argonne in downtown Kirkwood. Neither of them came from the food world; they spent years building auto-body shops across the country before coming home to open a butchery, seafood counter, and prepared foods market together.

They get into the 1875 building Dad eyed for decades, the accidental pastry that’s already a neighborhood favorite, why the name “Fox’s Finest” runs in the family, and what it means to build something your grandkids can still walk into one day.
