We are still accepting registrations this week for the turkey competition. Sign-ups close at midnight on Friday.

Annual Youth Turkey Day is this Saturday! Event will be at Myers Meat Shop, and some pretty awesome gifts were donated for the kids by B&A Predator Comp.

Weigh ins start at noon, we will have pizza & drinks, prizes will be awarded to the youth hunters with the highest scoring birds. Your youth hunter MUST be signed up for the turkey competition in order to participate in the youth day.

Reminder that our youth turkey hunt day is only for eligible youth hunters with a valid junior license and/or a mentor tag.

We hope to see some smiling faces on Saturday, and even if you don’t harvest…bring the kids out to enjoy the process of watching birds be scored & cleaned and eat some pizza with the SDO crew.

Myers Meat Shop is located at 110 Garden Lane, Kittanning Pa.

Pennsylvania hunters, you’re going to want to save this post!

The 2026-27 Pennsylvania hunting and trapping seasons and bag limits are now finalized, which means the new license year is right around the corner!

Here are some highlights:

Migratory game bird hunting seasons will NOT include Sunday hunting opportunities.

Sunday hunting is now included within all other season dates as listed. Seasons that previously ended on Saturday, for the most part will now end on Sunday.

Small game seasons including squirrel, rabbit, and pheasant will now run continuous seasons from opening dates through February 28, 2027.

An additional October elk fi****ms season has been added (More info soon to follow).
