Thanks to all that came to support our Traip Greenhouse and Garden Program! Just a reminder, that although we are all anxious to get our plants in the ground, some will be happier if left unplanted for another week. All perennials, hardy herbs and veggies are hardened off....go for it! Delay annual flowers, basil and tomatoes for a week.

SEED SWAP!!
Join us Sunday, March 8th, 1-3:00PM, at Nooney Farm for a community Seed Swap hosted by the Piscataqua Seed Project. If you have extras to donate, bring them; if not, stop by anyway and get what you need.

The Piscataqua Seed Project is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering people to grow food locally and save heirloom seeds for future generations. By sharing skills and knowledge, they help strengthen our local food system, build resilience, and connect us to our cultural heritage.

Anne Masury receives an MSBA Distinguished Service Award at the MSMA Fall Conference in October. From left-to-right, Masury is joined by Kittery School Board Member Kim Bedard, Kittery Superintendent JoAnne Dowd, daughter Kate Masury, MSBA Past President Faye Anderson, and MSBA Executive Director Eric Waddell.

Anne Masury (Kittery School Department)

A former educator, Anne has continued to give back to Traip Academy by transforming a greenhouse and garden program into a vibrant, year-round learning environment, with Traip interns gaining real-world experience while learning every aspect of gardening. From the School Committee: “This program reflects Mrs. Masury herself: dedicated, compassionate, knowledgeable, and endlessly generous with her time and talents... The students of Traip Academy are fortunate to learn from her example, and our community is stronger for her service.”

Free Dahlia tubers!!!! Over winter in cool dark location but not freezing. Start spring after dividing into pots or put directly in ground in May. Smaller tubers are low bedding varieties.. larger are 3-4” heads. Help yourself and leave some for others.
