Hi friends 💛🥚🐓
A few people have asked about our egg pricing, so here’s a quick peek behind the scenes.

Our eggs are $6/dozen because we’re a small family farm and we care for our flock the way we believe animals should be cared for. We feed non-GMO, allow natural breaks in laying (especially in winter), and when hens are done laying, they get to retire right here. 🤍

Our hens are also protected by our LGDs (livestock guardian dogs), and between feed, bedding, cartons, and daily care, this price reflects what it truly costs to produce clean, fresh eggs from happy, well-loved birds.

And something close to our heart: we always put out a few free bantam eggs for anyone in a tight season who could use a little help. No questions asked. 💛

🥚❄️ WINTER EGGS ARE BACK! ❄️🥚

Even in the dead of winter, the girls decided to start clocking in again… and after being out for a bit, we finally have fresh eggs back at the farmstand!

Available now:
🐔 Chicken eggs: $6/dozen
🪿 Goose eggs: $1 each (massive + amazing for baking)
🦆 Duck eggs: limited

🐣 Bonus: a few bantam eggs are FREE
Let the bantams feel like they’re more than decoration. 💅😂

It’s mid-October, and most Thanksgiving turkeys have already been sitting frozen in warehouses for months.
Ours? They’re still out on pasture: soaking up sunshine, splashing in the kiddie pools, and enjoying their non-GMO feed.

We have a very limited number of pre-orders available this year. Each share includes one of our pasture-raised turkeys, professionally processed on November 10th and ready for pickup just a few days later, fresh or frozen upon request, and raised right here at Almost Southern Homestead.

✨ Bonus: Each turkey share includes a free whole professionally processed chicken from our October 22nd batch, a little extra thank-you from our family to yours.

🐓 Chicken eggs – $6/dozen
➡️ Fridays are ½ price to help us clear stock (bring your own carton if you can to help out on fridays!)

🦆 Duck eggs – $10/dozen
🪿 Goose eggs – $1/each
(Duck & goose eggs are washed and seasonal so text ahead and we’ll set them out for you!

🐥 Bantam eggs – Free if you’re hungry, take what you need. If you’re not in need, pay what you think is fair so the girls feel like they’re contributing. 💛
