Cruze Farm 🍦 has been treating our Market Square Farmers Market volunteers to a little something sweet after markets! Thanks to their generous donation, our volunteers can enjoy a scoop after market and cool down after a busy Saturday.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Nourish Knoxville () relies on community generosity and volunteer support to help make our farmers markets possible each week. Contributions like these help us show appreciation for the volunteers who give their time to support local food, local farmers, and our market community.

A huge thank you to Cruze Farm () for helping us give our volunteers a well-deserved treat, and to our incredible volunteers for showing up each week to help make the market happen!

Meet Stoneground Milling! 🌽

Earlier this season, we headed out for a farm visit with Stoneground Milling and got a closer look at the work behind their heirloom corn products. Stoneground Milling grows rare heirloom corn varieties right here in East Tennessee and stone-grinds the corn in small batches to make grits, cornmeal, polenta, and corn flour.

Jonathan Buchanan has been part of the market community since 2015, so many of you may recognize him from his previous work supplying produce, eggs, and meat at the Market Square Farmers Market.

It's always fun to see the process behind the products we have at the market and get to know the people who make it all happen. We're excited to give you a look at Stoneground Milling and the work that goes into bringing their heirloom corn to your table. 🍽️

Want to learn more or try some for yourself? You can find Stoneground Milling at the Market Square Farmers Market on Saturdays or check out their website below!

New Seasonal Hours are Coming! ❄️

Starting in November, the Market Square Farmers Market will transition to its winter hours, continuing its year-round tradition of connecting the Knoxville community with local farmers, food producers, and artisans.

Located in downtown Knoxville, the market will operate on Saturdays from 10 AM–2 PM from November through March, with no Wednesday markets during the winter season.

While the hours will change, shoppers can continue to visit the Market Square Farmers Market throughout the winter to find locally produced foods and goods directly from the farmers, food producers, and artisans who make them.

Be sure to save this post and share it with a friend so everyone knows when to find us. 💚

A quick reminder for our market community: the Market Square Farmers Market is canceled today, Saturday, October 10, due to the forecast of high winds and rain.

We know Saturday mornings are a part of many of your routines, and we're sorry to miss you this weekend. The combination of wind and rain creates potentially dangerous conditions for our vendors, customers, and staff, so we're erring on the side of caution.

Thank you for understanding and for continuing to support our market community through all kinds of weather. We look forward to seeing you next week!

10/09/2026

After keeping a close eye on the forecast, we've made the difficult decision to cancel the Market Square Farmers Market this Saturday, October 10. 💚

We work hard to show up for our market community every week, rain or shine, and canceling a market is never a decision we take lightly. We know how much our customers look forward to shopping with us, and we know how much planning and preparation our vendors put into each market day.

Unfortunately, the combination of high winds and rain expected throughout market hours creates potentially dangerous conditions for our vendors, customers, and staff. Our top priority is making sure everyone in our market community stays safe, and in this case, that means sitting this Saturday out.

Thank you for your understanding and for being part of our market community. We're disappointed to miss a Saturday with you, but we look forward to welcoming everyone back next week!
