💐💕 Put a little Dolly in your bouquet! 💕💐

Pick Your Own Bouquet is THIS Saturday! And this week, we had a very special bouquet to make. 🌸

We picked a beautiful bunch of flowers from the Grow & Learn Community Garden and took it to the Dolly Parton statue in Sevierville in honor of the one and only Dolly. 💗✨

Because really… if you’re going to bring flowers to Dolly, they better be pretty, pink, and a whole lot of fabulous. 😉

And guess what? We have plenty of pink flowers waiting for you in the garden this Saturday! 🌷🌸🌺 So if you want to make your very own Dolly-inspired bouquet, come on out and pick yourself a bunch.

🌸 Pick Your Own Bouquet
📅 Saturday, September 5
⏰ 9–11 AM
📍 Grow & Learn Community Garden

Come pick some flowers, make something beautiful, and take a little garden joy home with you.

After all, you can never have too much pink or too many flowers. And Dolly would probably agree. 💕🌸

This feels so personal and sad to us. Many of our board members, farmers and customers read and love Wendell Berry's works. Be free, Wendell Berry.

Friends,

The Berry Center and Berry family are heartbroken to announce the death of Wendell Erdman Berry, writer and farmer of Port Royal, Henry County, Kentucky. He passed suddenly and peacefully at home yesterday afternoon, August 31st. His work continues, here and in every place where people aim to live according to nature’s measure, on and with and of their beloved home place.

Please help us respect the privacy and the wishes of the family by directing all correspondence, remembrances, inquiries, and good wishes to The Berry Center at [email protected] or by post ℅ The Berry Center, PO Box 582, New Castle KY 40050. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to The Berry Center or a like-missioned organization doing the good work in your home place in Wendell’s memory.

💚 That’s a wrap on Market-To-Go’s summer season! 💚

As we close out another summer of fresh, local food, we want to give a very special shoutout to Dean's Restaurant & Bakery for being such an incredible partner and supporter of Market-To-Go. 🥖🥕🌻

Dean’s has been with us from the very beginning, generously allowing us to operate out of the restaurant on Saturdays and helping make it possible for our community to access fresh, local food week after week.

We are so grateful for their continued support of local farmers, producers, and our mission to strengthen our local food system. ❤️

Thank you, Dean's Restaurant & Bakery, for believing in Market-To-Go from day one! We couldn’t have done it without you. 🥰

And thank YOU to everyone who ordered, shopped, picked up, delivered, farmed, baked, cooked, packed, volunteered, and supported Market-To-Go this season. Our local food community is pretty special. 🌱

From Garden to Teacup 🌿☕️

Join us at the Grow & Learn Community Garden for From Garden to Teacup: An Herbal Tea Workshop!

Come spend a relaxing evening learning how to turn garden-grown herbs into delicious, soothing teas. We’ll explore some of the herbs we grow, talk about their flavors and uses, and make our own herbal tea blends to enjoy.

We’ll also have a little fun with butterfly pea flower tea and lemon—watch as the tea magically changes color! 💙🍋

✨ We’ll have honey and locally sourced dried stevia available for those who like a little sweetness, too.

Whether you’re an experienced gardener, a tea lover, or simply curious about using herbs from the garden, we’d love to have you join us!

📅 Friday, September 18
⏰ 6–7 PM
📍 Grow & Learn Community Garden
🌿 1051 Oak Ridge Turnpike

Link in bio for tickets!

Come learn, sip, and discover how a few garden herbs can go all the way from garden to teacup! 💚

🌱💚 A HUGE thank you to Y-12 FCU Gives Foundation for supporting our Kids Garden Club, Nourish Kids Club, and Grow Your Programs! 💚🌱

Because of their support, local kids are getting their hands in the dirt, growing their own fruits and vegetables, and learning where their food comes from! 🥕🍅🍓

These programs connect children with gardening, healthy food, and our local food system—including area farmers markets—while helping grow a healthier, more food-connected community. 🌻🥬

We’re so grateful to Y-12 Gives Foundation for helping us plant the seeds for a healthier future! 🌱✨

Thank you for helping kids GROW! 💚
