I started with Whipple's Food Market in September of 2007 as a sophomore in high school and continued working there through what is now known as Greg's Supermarket. The sale of Whipple's had a lot of people concerned, because it had been a family-owned business since 1931. A few years after Greg purchased La Center, while attending Murray State, Greg offered me a Store Manager position. I thought

to myself that, 'I didn't go to college to be a grocery store manager.' After putting some thought and prayers into it, I decided it would be a good resume builder straight out of college. So, I accepted the position. Now 15 years later, here I am with my family, purchasing what will now be called Newton's Supermarket. God had bigger plans already mapped out for me and my family. We are very thankful and humble for this opportunity to serve the citizens of both Ballard & Carlisle County.
