The La Crescent Food Shelf is hosting a Family Day at the Orchard on October 18, in partnership with Van Lin Orchards. Families can enjoy picking apples and pumpkins, exploring a corn maze, and participating in other fall activities. The Food Shelf will receive 10% of all apple sales that day, and visitors will be encouraged to bring food or monetary donations to support our local food shelf.
We will be serving hot dogs, chips, and drinks — free-will donations appreciated which will go to the La Crescent Food Shelf.

🍎🍏🍎🍏 Good morning everyone!  We are excited to open our EverCrisp apples for you-pick! EverCrisp is half Fuji and half HoneyCrisp.  EverCrisp is wonderfully sweet with a great crunch! Also: You pick pumpkins, (four dollars any size) sunflower maze, arts and crafts, baked goods, cider, caramel apples, and much more! Open (noon to six) Friday, Saturday, Sunday. September-October. 🍏🍎🍎 Hi everyone!  The sunflower/corn maze is in full bloom! For pick your own we have HoneyCrisp, SweeTango ,Fireside, Haralson, Ambrosia and Pazazz. In our sales room, we have these varieties plus Kudos, Wealthy and FirstKiss.  Open (noon to six)Friday Saturday, Sunday, (September-October).

🍏🍎🍏Happy AppleFest, everyone!  Our sunflower/corn maze is starting to bloom. For pick your own this week we have Honeycrisp, Sweetango, and Pazazz. Our pumpkin patch will be open the first weekend of October. We would like to thank Free Range Exchange for sponsoring  this year‘s AppleFest Orchard tours! Hi everyone, we are opening tomorrow at noon.  Our hours for the season will be Friday, Saturday, Sunday (noon to sixth) September through October. For pick your own this week, we have Swee Tango, Zestar and Honey crisp.  We also have prepackaged apples in the sales shed as well as jams and jellies, honey, cider, and arts and crafts from local artists. See you this weekend!”
PS the corn/sunflower maze is open.

The La Crescent Food Shelf will be serving lunch for purchase (hotdogs, chips and beverage) at the Orchard on Sat, Oct 18. Please join us and bring a non perishable food item to donate. Van Lin Orchards will donate 10% of the days apples sales. Please come and show your support! Over 50 area families depend on the La Crescent Food Shelf to help with their food needs. Thank you! see you then. We are open Sept-Oct (Friday- Sunday) noon till 6.

Van Lin Orchards is proud to sponsor Evellyse Cody for Applefest Queen. She is going to be a senior at LaCrescent high school, as she takes high school classes she will also be taking college classes to get a head start at college! Throughout high school she has managed to maintain a 3.97 GPA. While in school Evellyse plays soccer, basketball, and flag football. When she started high school she was also in band, piano and theater. She keeps busy working at Bay Harbor nursing home, which she has done for the last 2 1/2 years. In her free time she enjoys going on the river, playing golf, hiking, and family game nights with her parents and three siblings. She thanks her family, Van Lin Orchards, and the people who continue to help her through this journey. Good Luck Evellyse!

Hi everyone, Van Lin Orchards will be open for the 2025 season on Friday Sept 5th. Hours will be Fri, Sat, Sun (noon to 6) September through October. The apples are beautiful, hope to see you this fall!
