Good morning Blueberry Fans ,

I have finnally recovered enough from Berry Burn out to write the last post of this season . The berries ran out last week and we had a good year , enough so to pay the bills and taxes and try again next year .

We thank all the people that came out and picked our wonderful berries here at Blueberry Haven LLc , We also pray that you have a joyful and warm Fall and Winter .

Good Morning Berry Fans , It is Aug 16 2025 ,
Today is the last day of the this years picking Season . Thare not a lot of berries left , they are in the Herberts at the far ends of the rows . My best for those coming to pick today .

Today is also Tim's 40th brithday today . If you see him wish him a happy one .

Thank you all for the wonderful year . I hope you all will return next year , several time to fill freezers and to make baked goods for your families and friends .

Look for me to start posting again in June 2026 for when we will opening for picking fresh berries .

Good Morning Bueberry Fans ,
Time is short for the last of picking . There are a few spots left in the Herberts at the far ends of the rows and the back of the Patch .

The weather today is hot and humid this afternoon . So best time to pick is this morning and tomorrow morning . Sat there is a chance of showers and T storms at 30 to 50% in the afternoon . Tomorrow is the last day we will be open by Tues of next week what berries that are left will be either gone or over ripe and fit only for the turkeys and other birds .

I will post one last reminder tomorrow before signing off for the season .

Good Morning Berry Fans and Lovers , Aug 14 2025 ,
Its heavy fog this morning here on the ridge so drive carefully where ever you may be traveling for the next few hours , my graphs and raw data show that 100% humidity and still air at 1-3 MPH is the cause after yesterdays and last nights rains , 3/4 in here in my gauge . Ground didn't get much it as it was too dry and ran off to the creeks and rills .

I will be reopening the patch today after closing early yesterday because the the T-Storms passing though we had quite the noise makers here and all around us , Lost a my old 14 year old "Pepper" She never liked thunder , I can only assune it was a heart attack or stroke .

Meanwhile the berries are at their end as the best places are the far ends of the rows and the very back of the patch after Saturday Aug 16 , 2025 we will be closing for the season as what is out there will become over ripe by next Tuesday .

Sorry for closing early today for those who tried to ick this after noon but a nasty T-storm had moved in so for safty I ahd to .
Radar shows that it will be scatter shower the rest of today and into tonight . Tomorrow I will open again at 8 am , Th e berries are scatterd but spots still exist at the back in the Herberts and at the far ends of the rows in the berkleys as well . happy foraging .

Good morning Berry Lovers ,
After mowing yesterday , I found that the what is left is widely scattered and mostly in the the herberts and covilles . Even with those there is so little left I will keep the patch open on the Honor System for 1 week and the season will end completely on Aug 16 ,2025 .

Thank you all for turning out this year to pick our berries . It was a Average year and a light harvest , compared to the past few years . Next year should be better . I look forward to seeing you all then you can start checking here or calling our business phone [570-869-1166] in June of 2026 to learn when we will be open again for picking . Thank you again .

Over slept so I will make this short . Sunny , clear , with Temps in low 80's , and a light breezy .
Picking is generally scattered in the patch now and today will be the last day , that a person will be attending the Cabin .

Honor system / selfserve will start on Tuesday . Hrs 8am to 6pm Tuesdays thru Saturdays until Aug 30, 2025 . Be safe and Enjoy the fall and winter . Cherish Family over the Holidays . Remember God Loves you always . With love always from the Blueberry Haven Family .

Good morning Berry Fans ,
I am running late this morning , as I was out checking on the berries . The full season is almost done , Covilles are still pickable , and the rest is scattered with spots that still have quite a few berries . If you are still planning on making jams and jellies there are plenty to pick or thinking of a small batch of wine also a good time to pick , If you are looking for fresh berries to eat you should stick to the Covilles . or maybe wonder through the Herberts .

Todays weather is great Sun with temps in the low 80's and a light breeze to keep it from be to much . Little cloud cover so a Sun screen may be in order .

I have been setting up for the Self serve / Honor system which will start next Tuesday Aug 12 2025 . Price was remain $2.50 per lb , and our Hours will still be 8am to 6pm Tues thru Sat until Aug 30 2025 .

I would like to thank everyone for a wonderful year again here at Blueberry Haven , I will continue to post until the end of the month . But don't forget to check back next June for news of next years opening for the season . click on your follow button for Notifications of new posts .

Good morning Berry lovers and fans ,

Today is looking better no AQ alert and the haze is looking to thin out and be gone by tonight .

Meanwhile , Covilles are the best place to pick . The rest is scattered or overripe . Your welcome to wonder and see for yourself .

After Saturday Aug 9 , 2025 I will set up and start the self serve / Honor system for those who will wish to wonder and see what they can find .

I will have scales and instructions set up at the second counter along with pails and containers for those who forget to bring their own . Containers are 15 cent each this year . Berries will still be $2.50 per lb .

Hours will remain at
8am to 6pm ,
Tuesdays thru Saturdays .

The patch itself will be closed for the Season on Aug 31 , 2025 . I will continue to post often until then also .

Good morning Berry Fans .
Aug . 6 ,2025 ,
Today's report is the that the Herberts and Berkleys are scattered picking . Green ones are there but won't be ready until next week or after . Covilles are fully in and are ready to pick for the next 2 weeks .

Todays temps will reach the upper 70's , and a storm system to our south will stir up the air some and hopefully clear out the smoky air quailty warnings Thrusday .

Good Morning , Sorry I didnt get a report out on berries yesterday . There are still plenty of Herberts and Berkeleys and the Coville are coming on strong .

I see the Smoky Haze seems to have become heavier this morning and the AQ Alert has been extended to Midnight tonight . Today is forecast to be dry and warmer low 80s for temp this after noon with some cloud cover . But hardly any wind 1-5 mh at most . thatmean the wirefire smoke is going to hang round all day .

It is a good day to pick berries anyway . Remind er ;

Good Morning Aug 4 2025 Blueberry Fans and Lovers ,
Sunday and Mondays the patch is closed . Today is maintaince day . Mowing and assessing where the berries are at .

Another post this afternoon or evening will follow up on that .

Weather all week looks dry and comfey by most standards .
If you smell smoke this morning it is Wildfires in Indana and Ohio as well as Canada . They have triggered an air quaility health advisory today until Midnight 12am . I have breathing issues so I will limit my time outdoors . We will see if this continues tomorrow or if it is just for today .

This week and next are the last of the good picking , have that the atch will still be open but on a self serve / Honor system until the end of Aug.
