This event celebrates the agricultural heritage, hard work, farm life, and next generation of agriculture right here in our own backyard. From blueribbon entries and livestock to local vendors, demonstrations, kids activities and more, it’s a beautiful celebration of the agricultural community that makes Walker County so special.

And while the AG Festival is NOT held at the Farmers Market, many of our favorite Farmers Market vendors will be there! So go show them some love, support local, and enjoy a day celebrating the people who grow, make, raise and create right here at home. 🌾

👀Caving! Our Town, Our Land, Our Mountains, Our People are truly something special! Get out and have an adventure ✨️ ⛰️ !

Woah its HOT! Someone turned the heat on and forgot to cut it off. Well we've got good news - the Outpost has added two public caving trips close to home this month that are perfect for cooling things off and spicing up your sense of adventure! Gear & guiding provided!

We will also be offering an evening rappelling outing that is perfect for beginners. Hopefully these temperatures join the trip and drop a few degrees....gear & guiding provided!

Students! Walker Schools teacher Inservice day is the 25th and we've added some programming opportunities specifically for you for only $5 (or even free)! Join our "AP Outside" program for guided climbs, free gear rentals, and free access to our slackline station coming to you soon!

And just like that, another season of the LaFayette Farmers Market is in the books. ❤️

What a season 4! So many Saturday mornings spent together... this market is full of LIFE. The kind of life that only happens when a community comes together and chooses to support something local. 🌱

Thank you to every farmer, maker, baker, food truck, musician, volunteer, sponsor, community partner, City of LaFayette, Downtown Development Authority, and every single person who showed up, shopped local, and believed in what we are building together. This market is a reminder of what a community can create when we show up for one another.

Thank you for choosing to know where your food comes from. Thank you for supporting your neighbors. Thank you for bringing your kids, your families, and your joy to the market every Saturday. ❤️

We are going to miss these Saturday mornings... but don’t worry we aren’t gone for long! 🎃

I can’t believe we are saying this, but Saturday is our last LaFayette Farmers Market of the regular season. 🥹

What a season it has been. Every Saturday, this little mountain town has come alive with farmers, bakers, makers, music, kids, dogs, neighbors and so much community. You’ve made this market something really special.

So we’re going out with a little 70s peace, love & flower power! 🌸

The DOG DAYS OF SUMMER FARMERS MARKET is here!

Join us Saturday, August 22nd from 9am-1pm for a market day packed with local shopping, good food, music and plenty of fun for both two-legged and four-legged visitors.

We’ll have pet adoptions, microchipping, nail trimming, dog market bandanas, dog costume contest, treats, music and FREE bounce houses for the kids.

Lettuce Bee Farm Sanctuary will be engraving dog tags at their booth for $5 each. Proceeds benefit the Walker County Animal Shelter.

And of course, we have to have a parade! Our Pet/Costume Contest starts at 10:15am. Line up in front of the stage at 10am. Dress up your dog, yourself, or both and come join the fun. Win market cash and barking rights.

While you’re here, shop our local BARKERS, bakers, makers and farmers. Yes, we said barkers. We couldn’t help ourselves.

Bring the dogs. Bring the kids. Bring your shopping bags and spend your Saturday morning supporting local and practice sitting and staying for awhile.
