Happy Memorial Day from 11 Kettle Farm !

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Fun Polish-American history fact:
Did you know Polish hero Casimir Pulaski is known as the “Father of the American Cavalry”? He came from Poland to help fight in the American Revolution and even helped save George Washington’s troops during battle. His sacrifice became a lasting symbol of the friendship between Poland and America.

Another Polish hero, Tadeusz Kościuszko, helped design important American fortifications during the Revolutionary War.

From our family farm to yours, thank you to all who served and sacrificed for this country. May we never forget.

God Bless America 🇺🇸
Happy Memorial Day!

JUST RESTOCKED — REAL FARM EGGS
This is what fresh actually looks like.

Every carton comes from hens that live outside, move on pasture, and are fed only organic feed — no shortcuts, no commercial shortcuts hidden behind labels. You’ll see it the moment you crack one open… deep golden yolks, rich flavor, and real nutrition.

We also take it one step further:
Each egg is lightly coated with organic coconut oil to naturally protect freshness — the old-school way, done clean and intentionally.
These aren’t grocery store eggs.

They’re limited, small-batch, and come straight from our farm to you.

💰 $7 per dozen

THEY'RE BACK!
After a well-deserved winter vacation, our ladies have officially clocked back in — and the eggs are flowing again!
Our hens spent the cold months resting, recharging, and (let's be honest) living their best life on the pasture. But spring is calling, and they answered.
Here's what makes these eggs worth the wait:
🌿 100% pasture-raised — real grass, real sunshine, real happy hens
🌾 Fed certified organic grain — clean, simple ingredients
🥥 Gently washed & coconut oil coated — naturally fresh, no chemicals
🍳 Deep golden yolks with flavor that takes you straight to Babcia's kitchen
🤝 Small family farm — you know exactly where your food comes from

Snow or rain, light or dark, the animals still need care.

After a full day of work, we head back out with our daughters to do evening chores. Not because it’s easy, but because consistency matters. The food we raise, the animals we care for, and the land we steward all depend on showing up every single day.

For our girls, these moments are lessons.

That responsibility doesn’t pause for weather.
That care is a daily practice.
That real food comes from real work.

And somewhere nearby, Bolek the cat stands watch. Quietly protecting the farm and keeping an eye on our little helpers as they learn what it means to be dependable.

This is our process.

This is how trust is built.

This is how values are passed on.

Thank you for supporting farms that work this way.

At 11 Kettle Farm, we believe good food starts with understanding how it’s grown.

Small farms work on a different timeline than industrial agriculture. Healthy soil takes years to build, not weeks. Animals raised with care need daily attention, clean feed, and space to move. These choices don’t create the fastest results, but they create better ones.

When you shop from a small farm, you’re not just buying food. You’re supporting a process.
One common question we hear is about price. That’s a fair question, and it deserves context. High-quality and organic feed can cost significantly more than conventional feed. Better animal welfare means more labor, more hands-on care, and more time spent in the field. Those inputs directly shape the quality and nutrition of the food on your table.
Large farms are built for scale. Small farms are built for intention.

As Joel Salatin often explains, systems designed for efficiency don’t always reward food quality. That’s why small farms focus on doing fewer things well rather than many things quickly.

Like many family farms, ours is a true family effort. Farming happens alongside full-time work off the farm, guided by responsibility, discipline, and long-term thinking. Every decision is made with stewardship in mind, because we’re growing food for our own family too.

When you choose to buy from 11 Kettle Farm, you’re choosing transparency, care, and a connection to where your food comes from. You’re supporting healthier soil, better animal care, and a local food system that values quality over shortcuts.

Monday Farm Lesson: Why fresh farm eggs are different

We wash our eggs before they go to our customers, and after washing we lightly coat them with organic coconut oil.

Why?

Washing removes the egg’s natural protective layer, so the coconut oil replaces that barrier, helping protect the shell from moisture and bacteria while keeping the egg fresher for longer. It’s a simple, natural step that makes a real difference in quality and shelf life.

Did you know?
Eggs from pasture-raised chickens can have up to 3x more vitamin D than store-bought eggs.

Here’s why sunlight + real forage matters:
Our hens spend their days outdoors in the sun, eating grass, bugs, seeds, and certified organic feed. That natural diet and sunlight exposure directly impact the nutrition of the eggs, giving you richer yolks, better flavor, and more vitamins.

How to Buy
You can place your order directly through our website or call:

Fresh eggs aren’t just about taste. They’re about how the food is raised, how it’s handled, and the care that goes into every step.
