🙏🏽❤️ Sometimes a delivery means a little more than just delivering food.

Today, Healthy Meals Direct had the privilege of bringing meals to Long Island Cares to help support Long Islanders who are going through difficult times. 🍽️🤝🏽

I believe very strongly that God has shown me favor in my life, and with that favor comes responsibility. Because of the opportunities and blessings we’ve been given, our entire team at Healthy Meals Direct is in a position to give back to the community that has supported us since 2009.

This is not an “I” post. None of this happens without the people who work beside me every day, our customers who continue to support HMD, and the organizations throughout Long Island doing the difficult work of helping people who need it most. ❤️

I have a tattoo on my arm that says “Strengthened by God.” I got it during one of the darkest periods of my life, when I was in a place of real despair. I was incarcerated at the time — but that’s a story for another day.

What matters today is this: redemption is available to everyone. Your darkest chapter does not have to be the end of your story. Never forget where your strength comes from, and never forget that underneath everything else, we are one human family. 🙏🏽

The Bible teaches that when we give, we shouldn’t do it simply to be seen or praised — “do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.” I understand that message.

At the same time, there is a bigger purpose behind sharing what we’re doing publicly.

If posting this encourages another business, another individual, or even one person to donate food, volunteer, help a neighbor, support a first responder, or simply look around and ask, “Who can I help today?” then sharing it was worth it. 💙

The goal isn’t recognition.

The goal is participation.

Because when enough of us give a little, together we can do a lot. 🙏🏽❤️

Seed oils aren't poison. And avocado oil won't make you glow 🥑✨
Every few months there's a new villain. Right now it's seed oils. Restaurants brag "no seed oils" like it's a health plan 👀
The truth? Oil is oil. Olive, avocado, canola: about 120 calories a tablespoon 📊
✅ Beef tallow and butter: 6 to 7 grams of saturated fat per tablespoon. Canola: about 1
✅ A 30-year Harvard study: people who ate the most plant oils, soybean and canola included, were less likely to die
✅ UC Davis tests: most store-bought avocado oils were stale or cut with cheaper oils. Some "pure" bottles were basically soybean oil 🫠
So why do we cook with only olive oil? Not because seed oils kill you. Just to tune out the noise 💪🏽

🚔💙 Another stop for HMD Feeds Long Island.

Today, Healthy Meals Direct delivered 50 fresh meals to the Nassau County Police Department’s 6th Precinct in Manhasset. 🍽️🚓

We’ve been fortunate to make a number of these deliveries across Long Island, and I never want them to become routine. Every precinct, every department, and every group of First Responders represents people who go to work every day knowing they may be called into situations the rest of us hope we never have to face.

Healthy Meals Direct has been proudly serving Long Island since 2009, and giving back to the communities that have supported us along the way is something that means a lot to us. ❤️

For me, being able to personally show up, hand over a few boxes of meals, shake some hands 🤝🏽 and simply say “thank you” is what HMD Feeds Long Island is all about.
