Important Lavender Oil Quality Testing Results

I wanted to share some very important information with you regarding essential oil quality and why where you purchase your wellness products truly matters.

NOW Foods has been at the forefront of independently testing health and wellness products sold through online marketplaces like Amazon. They regularly invest in third-party laboratory testing and openly share their findings with independent health food stores like ours to help bring transparency and accountability to the industry.

One of their most recent projects involved testing lavender essential oils being sold on Amazon. As part of this testing, 28 lavender oil products marketed as “Lavandula angustifolia” or “pure lavender essential oil” were analyzed using advanced GC-MS/FID testing methods to determine authenticity and purity according to ISO standards.

The results were concerning. Out of the 28 lavender oils tested, only 3 brands — just 11% — met the standards for authentic Lavandula angustifolia essential oil and showed no evidence of adulteration.

This is exactly why we are so careful and selective about the brands we choose to carry at Rebekah’s Health & Nutrition. Quality, purity, sourcing, and transparency matter tremendously when it comes to supplements and essential oils.

Low prices online may sometimes come at the expense of quality, authenticity, or purity. Our goal has always been to provide products you can trust for yourself and your family.
