Home Grown Chemical-Free Strawberries 🍓

A quick update on our strawberry crop:

We lost about 30% of our berries during the April freeze. Then, with the rainy weather we've had recently, disease pressure increased. Because we grow our strawberries without chemical sprays, we aren't able to control diseases the same way conventional growers can, which has resulted in lower yields especially during unfavorable weather.

Growing chemical-free strawberries generally means our production is lower and our costs are higher, so our berries tend to be priced a little higher than conventionally grown fruit. However, many of our customers appreciate being able to enjoy fresh, flavorful strawberries without the chemical sprays commonly used in commercial production.

We anticipate our berry crop will continue for another 4 weeks.
