🎨 Artist of the Week: Annaliese Berkenstock

Using shells, stones, and other natural materials, Annaliese creates thoughtful shadowboxes that celebrate the beauty of the everyday. Each piece is a small world unto itself, inspired by nature and a love of handcrafted work.

✨ Special Activity:

The Women Creating CommUNITY (WCC) will be joining us with a button-making station. Create something fun, personal, and uniquely yours to take home.

At just 13 years old, Tucker is already an experienced performer with appearances across the region and even New York City. His “modern acoustic guitar” style blends original songs with crowd-favorite covers, moving easily between layered looping and stripped-down acoustic moments.

A rising young singer-songwriter bringing a soulful twist to your favorite songs. With performances across the Philly area and a passion for connecting through music. It is Amalia's first time playing in Lansdowne and we are so excited to have her.

🧶 Artist of the Week: Sara Elb

Sara’s crochet work is cozy, playful, and full of personality—from trend-inspired plushies to custom creations that spark conversation. This week is extra special—you can try your hand at crochet and then see what it looks like in the hands of a local artist.

✨ Learn something new, support local talent, and experience art in action.

🧶🎨 This Saturday is Public Art Day at the Lansdowne Farmers Market!

We’re getting ready for Arts on the Avenue (May 17) by yarn bombing the Lansdowne Avenue, and we need your help!

✨ How to get involved:
- Donate granny squares (any size, materials, or color!)
- Bring unfinished knitting or crochet projects you no longer want
- Join us in person to help assemble + install

🙌 We’ll also have folks on site teaching basic knitting and crochet—so if you’ve ever wanted to learn, now's the time!

The Lansdowne Farmers Market regular season kicks off May 2 at the Landing, and we’re excited to be back for another season of Saturdays together.

✨ A quick note: We won’t have fresh vegetables this week as farms transition into the spring season—but Pollard Landscaping will have plenty of plants to get your garden started. More farmers are on the way, with microgreens next week and Tuquan Farm returning mid-May.

The Lansdowne Farmers Market started the way the best things do — with neighbors who cared enough to make it happen. 🌱

Since 2007, volunteers have been the backbone of this market, showing up every Saturday to make sure Lansdowne has a place to gather, shop local, and connect. Nearly two decades later, that volunteer spirit is still very much alive, and we couldn't do it without them.

But keeping the market running takes real resources: vendor coordination, equipment, programming, live music, and making sure everyone in our community can access fresh, local food. Starting in May, we're proud to accept SNAP benefits! Because good food should be for everyone.
