Thanks to Deputy Jon Samuelson's uncle, Greg Samuelson.... we have some cool coloring pages to share and get out there before the school year ends! Get those students coloring, signing their name, well wishes, and school, and returning to any of these locations ASAP... so they can be shared with Jon to help inspire his fight to recover!

Completed coloring pages can be mailed/dropped off at these area locations. They will be posted at Jon's uncles store, Bennett's Up Towne Shoppes and other downtown businesses when his windows are filled! (PDF versions of the image for printing are available at bethanylaporte.com... you can also pick up printed copies for kids with free crayons at Bethany Church or Garwood Orchards).

Deputy Jon Samuelson of the LaPorte County Sheriffs Department is the officer in critical condition after being shot this morning at Franciscan Hospital in Michigan City. There are official press releases with more details. We want to share this picture of Jon with K9 Bosco, and ask for prayers for Jon.

We have so many great pictures and videos of Jon along with Bosco, like this one, helping us shine a light on the community good done by those in law enforcement through ride-alongs, K9 demos, and videos highlighting local first responders. Jon is one of our Heroes.

In true hero fashion it seems Jon had stopped to help what appeared to be a stranded motorist, taking him to the hospital. That very person he helped is the one who later shot him.

No sense can be made of senseless acts. We turn to God with hope and prayers for healing for Jon. We ask you to look at this picture. To put a face to this heroes name if you did not know him and please… pray for Deputy Jon Samuelson, his family, and his brothers and sisters in the first responder family.
