Monsanto sells Roundup ready seeds for soy, maize (corn), canola, alfalfa, sugar beets, cotton, sorghum, and now wheat. 80% of the U.S. population now tests positive for glyphosate in their urine. In a recent study by Dr. Michael Antonoiu and Dr. Robin Mesnage it was found – for the first time, they said – that the herbicide interfered in a potentially worrisome way with the shikimate biochemical pathway of the gut bacteria of the animals used in the experiment. That interference was highlighted by changes in specific substances in the gut. Analysis of gut and blood biochemistry revealed evidence that the animals were under oxidative stress, a condition associated with DNA damage and cancer. Monsanto had a 10-billion-dollar settlement for cancer cases and was bought and bailed out by Bayer pharmaceutical. New studies now show a direct correlation between Autism, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's, diabetes, obesity, and infertility. Correlation is not to be confused with causation I know, but it begs for a thorough scientific evaluation by an unbiased 3rd party. As of now Monsanto and Bayer Pharmaceutical have convinced the EPA, USDA, and FDA that no human studies are necessary and said such human studies would be unethical. Consumers, remain in the dark due to the media's suppression of the facts (The media that makes ungodly sums of money from marketing the very products being produced from GMO’s) Newly released studies are proving that 3rd party testing is warranted due to the questionable testing and validations as was shown in the “Monsanto papers” to achieve favorable results. Campaign contributions from Monsanto/Bayer toward politicians warrant a thorough investigation as well, due to the many past Monsanto employees which are now employed by the USDA, FDA, and EPA to keep their money maker protected (the FDA receives most of its funding from the very companies it oversees). Biden recently, by executive order, passed a bill to fund even more GMO production under the guise of the "Cancer Moonshot bill". Ask a farmer of USDA Organic products how easy it is to educate consumers on the benefits of organic products and the response will typically sound like "It's not as easy as it sounds, I can't speak out about the GMO crops that keep me in business" It's time for the facts.

Roundup ready produce is being proven to cause more damage to our health than ever before. You may know that antibiotics are designed to attack all bacteria in the gut but did you know that Roundup has been proven to kill only the good bacteria in your gut leaving your health in ruins?

It's absolutely amazing how Round-up ready seeds are being used for the produce which is now distributed throughout the U.S. and other countries while avoiding any independent studies. Only studies being self-administered by Monsanto/Bayer are being used even after their results have been proven to be altered. This is taking place in every country that allows the use of roundup ready seeds for Soy, Corn, Wheat, Canola, Sorghum, Sugar beets, alfalfa, and Cotton (Including-Feminine hygiene products). Mi Abuelo Organic Chile was started in 2018 and for those that have read "Our Company" page on our website here's a lesser known reason as to why we started it, like after I found out that NMSU was in the process of testing whether or not a Round-up ready green chile was possible or would be accepted by local farmers.

Upon learning this, and having the opportunity afforded to me to do something about it, I made the final decision to go forward with the company.

To be certified USDA Organic both the farmers produce and the processing facilities for the end product must be Certified as such. Organic farmers are never allowed to use synthetic pesticides and herbicides like glyphosate (aka Roundup), 2,4-D, dicamba, chlorpyrifos, and many others.

Today there are 7 crops that use Roundup ready seeds (GMO's) to include soy, maize (corn), canola, sugar beets, cotton, alfalfa, and now wheat about to be released. These GMO plants are sprayed with Round up (Glyphosate) to kill the surrounding w**ds however the plants have been genetically modified to allow the survival of the plant. Recent studies have shown that 80% of the U.S. population now tests positive for glyphosate in their urine.

For those that have wondered why we have struggled with distributors or inability to gain shelf space in retail markets I have been simply told that we are a competing product for those that already exist and therefore there is no room for us. Thus, effectively shutting us down. I found it very coincidental that having spoken about the concerns of GMOs in the midst of the COVID shutdowns, I lost funding that was supposed to help us endure the many COVID financial repercussions. As of yet, we still keep seeing coincidences of waitlisting.
