Our market season is over but we are still offering a few items on the honor system this week until we sell out. Everything is self serve and cash only. Apples are priced from &5-$7 a bag, a few pumpkins as low as $3 and lots of organically grown fresh garlic from Juniata Garlic Farm. Just a friendly reminder that today is the last day for the produce market at Lapp Family Market in Latrobe. We have a few carving pumpkins left that will be drastically reduced. We've got tomatoes, some peppers, potatoes, squash, lots of organically grown garlic, a few strawberries and lots of apples and apple cider. Stop by and say hi to Sonya and grab the last bit of the growing season in PA. It's Saturday, so 9-4 today.

This is our last week folks! There is a possibility that some items will be available on the honor system next week (cash only of course) but this week concludes our season with a full display. Thanks to some unusually warm October weather we have strawberries! Our pumpkins are all reduced. We have plenty of spaghetti and butternut squash. Our apple display is gorgeous. We have added STAYMAN to the lineup. We have good prices on half bushel boxes of apples. Onions, cukes, carrots, zucchini, tomatoes, potatoes etc. NOTICE: We have a new relationship with a grower in Juniata County offering organically grown garlic. We wish we could have started this earlier, but better late than never. We have a huge display, consider fresh garlic as a unique gift idea. We are offering gift boxes as well as braided trios. October is half way over and we are nearing the end of our season. We plan to be on the front porch of the Lapp Family Market in Latrobe this week and next. The very last week of October is a wait and see at this point, depending on what produce is still available. We have a great supply of apples! Tis the season, consider saving money by buying by the half bushel box, we have special prices on several varieties, as low as $15/half bushel. Plenty of tomatoes and pumpkins, cabbage and squash, peppers and onions, cukes and zukes, and strawberries for at least this week. Come early and often!

We're ready for another weekend of fresh fruit, produce and fall decorations at Lapp Family Market in Latrobe. Our apple display is beautiful and full of PA apples fresh from the orchards of Bedford County and we have fresh apple cider from Lancaster County. We have a limited supply of cauliflower this week, lots of pumpkins and the usual veggies. We still have strawberries! Local chestnuts, carrots, lots of peppers and tomatoes. And just like that it's October, the last month slipped by like a dream. October is one of my favorite months, the beauty of the mountains, the smell of fall and the beginning of a festive time of the year. Let's think about pumpkins, apples, fall decorations and let's also get in the last of the tomatoes, peppers, strawberries and various other of the season's bounty. We are here at Lapp Family Market with fresh fruits and vegetables as well as fall decoratives and pumpkins. SPECIAL NOTICE!! We have sweet corn, when it is gone you will have to wait until next summer. This is your last chance for this season. We still have strawberries and they are terrific. We are all set up for the fall season at Lapp Family Market in Latrobe. We have decorative pumpkins, gourds etc. Also Apple Cider is here, and speaking of apples, our varieties include the ever popular HoneyCrisp, Golden Delicious, Gala, McIntosh, JonaGold, and Cortland. We will keep expanding our offering as they become available. This may be the last week for sweet corn, the dry weather is wreaking havoc on the late crops, so we'll see. Plenty of peppers of all colors, shapes and sizes. Believe it or not we still have fresh picked strawberries. Tomatoes, cukes and zukes, onions, garlic, red potatoes, sweet potatoes etc. etc.

Good Wednesday morning! We are at the intersection of summer and fall, our market looks very much like fall has arrived and the weather feels like it, but we do have some summer produce as well this week. SPECIAL NOTICE: Peaches are over, I know you keep asking, and asking, but the middle of September is upon us, peaches will return next summer.
We do have the last of the cantaloupe and yes, watermelon this week. They will not last till the weekend, come get them now. We have sweet corn but it also will not last till the weekend. We still have fresh strawberries from Somerset fields.
Pumpkins and decoratives are here along with squash and an ever expanding array of fresh PA apples. Cabbage, green beans, Kohlrabi, onions, peppers of all shapes, sizes, and colors, and of course tomatoes, lots of tomatoes.

Happy September! We are transitioning to fall produce, corn and cantaloupe will be spotty if available. Peaches and watermelon are over. Tomatoes, zucchini, onions, etc will continue throughout the fall. Apples will be a mainstay of our offering throughout the fall. Look for squash, pumpkins, and decoratives coming soon.

NOTICE!!! The produce market will be closed this coming Saturday, September 6. (Lapp Family Market will be open) The market will open again next week on Wednesday and be open Wednesday thru Saturday through the end of October. Happy Thursday everyone.

It's the last week of August and it already feels like September! What a blessing! We are at it again on the front porch of Lapp Family Market in Latrobe. Our market is as well stocked as it will be all year, please be aware that the season for peaches, watermelon and cantaloupe is coming to a close. FAIR WARNING, this may be the last week for peaches. Also, we expect to have watermelon and cantaloupe next week but they may not last until the weekend (first weekend in September). Our apple supply continues to expand, we've added Gala and McIntosh to our offering this week. We expect to have sweet corn for the next two weeks. Come see us Wednesday thru Friday 9-5 and Saturday 9-4.

I know it's still really warm outside but the first signs of fall are here! We have several excellent sweet apples to choose from including Honeycrisp, everyone's favorite! I bit into a Zestar this morning and it tastes just like fall. Cooler weather is coming next week, let's start talking about apple pies and dumplings. Spaghetti squash are here as well as cabbages.
