Thanks to everyone who came out to Saturday Market this weekend and braved the on and off again storms. We loved spending the morning with our community and supporting local farmers, bakers, makers, and artists.

🥕🏆THE LOCAL FOOD CUP BEGINS MONDAY, JUNE 1 🏆🥕

It’s almost time to choose your team. 👀
Leading up to our Local Food Cup celebration on June 27, we’re launching our official produce bracket competition — and we need YOUR votes to crown the champion of local produce!

📣 Voting officially begins ONLINE this Monday, June 1 through our social media stories!

Every Monday til the main event, we’ll reveal the week’s produce matchups, and you’ll have the chance to vote for which locally grown food moves on to the next round. Winning produce items will continue through the bracket until one ultimate local produce champion remains.

Want to vote in person? Beginning June 6, customers can also cast their votes at the Market Information Booth every Saturday during Market hours. While you’re there, you can also learn more about the Local Food Cup event happening June 27!

👀 Be sure to follow along each Monday to see which produce items are going head-to-head that week and make sure your favorites stay in the competition.

We had another beautiful Farmers Market this weekend, and yes, we typically find them all to be pretty spectacular!

In our first photo we just wanted to pull some attention to a few of our volunteers and how they help make the market run smoothly. You too could be like Bev, Jackie, and Kennedy and keep operation’s flowing, just email Emily [email protected] and let her know you’re interested! We’re always looking for more volunteers and love making new friends!

🌱 Give a warm welcome to Piccalilli Farm! We are so excited to have them with us at the Lawrence Farmers Market this season. From organic produce to prepared foods packed with local ingredients, the Piccalilli team brings a passion for Kansas and delicious eating that you definitely want at your table. We've heard many rave reviews already!

🥕 We had a RAD(ish) day at the Lawrence Farmers Market last Saturday! Thanks for playing in the springtime sun with us, whether you joined our scavenger hunt for radishes, sipped on lemonade in the shade, grabbed breakfast or food for later, or glimpsed some life-sized produce running around the Market.

🎉 We know it was a big weekend for lots of people with graduations and parties to attend (congrats, grads!), so thank YOU for making the Market part of your weekly routine and coming to support your local vendors!
