Get ready Lawton Community to show support to our younins at the YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR MARKET!
Happening Saturday November 22nd from 8AM to 1PM!

Details are as follows, please ensure to read them entirely and refer to any questions on this post!
- cut-off date to participate in this event will be November 19th.
- (15) participants will be accepted.
- the young entrepreneur and guardian must be able to fill out an application (IN PERSON).
- please note that no fee is required or accepted to hold spots. This is a free event for our Young Entrepreneurs.
- this event is for school aged children in grades 1st through 12th.
- all crafts and/or baked goods must be prepared by the young entrepreneur.
- a guardian must remain with their young entrepreneur though out the entire event.

I just got off of a zoom meeting. To clarify, if you still have money on your EBT card tomorrow, it can be used. If you have the green Senior Farmers Market card, it can still be used as it was preloaded prior to the shut down. However, those green cards will expire on November 30, so you will need to use them before that time.

And we will once again have those wonderful sweet potatoes from Ft. Cobb.

UPDATE: If you still have funds on your EBT card from previous months prior to November 1, they will continue to be good to use. And remember for the first 20 you take off of the card, you will get
20 free to use for produce. Also, if you have any coupons that have been issued through the market, we will honor them as well. Just please make sure all tokens and coupons are from the Lawton market.

In light of the government shutdown and the possibility of the EBT/SNAP being temporarily closed, we at the Farmers Market will honor any and all tokens that have been purchased or given out from the Lawton Farmers Market to include wooden tokens, red, orange, yellow, blue, purple, white or green tokens. Dig into your children's toys, look in the glove boxes, drawers, find them and bring them to use on food at the market. It doesn’t matter how long you have had them; you can use them at this time. We currently have $18,000 dollars in tokens in this area that have been given out and not used. During this time of uncertainty is a time to find them and use them. See us on Saturday’s 8 a.m.- 1p.m. each week at 77 SW 4th Street.

Farmers Market tomorrow 8 am- 1 pm. We will be offering some late summer veggies including tomatoes. We are also adding fresh dug organic sweet potatoes from Acadian Family Farm located at Ft. Cobb. These will be available at the snap table. We will also be offering fresh Quail eggs as well as regular eggs. And don't forget the meats, beef, pork, chicken, quail and rabbit. Along with all of this will be fresh baked breads, cookies and other treats. Stop by with kiddos for trick or treating with the vendors. We will be open rain or shine!

Costumes are welcomed! Trick or Treat with participating vendors AND the YMCA will be there hosting Healthy Kids Day starting at 10AM!
Grab some fresh home baked treats, handmade items, home grown meats and visit our food trucks that will be onsite as well!
