We apologize we will not be having our annual spring seed and starter exchange this week. FB did not allow us to delete the event but we updated info in the comments. Hopefully the new owners will be interested in hosting the event later or at least do the fall one. There are many unknowns at the moment. Thank you all for your continued support and patience ❤️

Free eggs today, while supplies last. We'll be defrosting the fridge and freezer and need them gone. We have 5 dozen regular (washed) and 4 dozen organic ones (unwashed). We also still have a few free goodies on the produce table. So come and "loot" us 😉

Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the farm stand of course!

It is heavy hearts that we announce that the Smiths, owners of Windy Haven Farm LLC and the hosts of our community farm stand are moving out west. They are "crossing the road" to be near family.

But it seems that the new buyers are interested in keeping the stand open. They are hoping to move into the farm to be near their family ❤️. And they have some great plans for this place!

While we have tried organize a way to keep the stand open in our absence until the new owners close on the house. It will be too strategically difficult for the Smith's to manage while on the road out west and while they'll settle into their new farm.

So with that said, we will be temporarily closing the farm stand starting on Easter Sunday. This weekend will be our last week open until it reopens (Lord willing 🙏🏼in mid-May). We will be accepting debit card and checks on Saturday for those wanting to stock up on last minute items. We will be limited to stock on hand. We are low on honey, ground beef and maple syrup items. But plenty of milk, eggs and canned goods!

All skin care products are having a 10% off moving sale with lots of freebies! So stop on by!

Weekly update:

We really aren't that good at remembering to do these 😂, so maybe we should call them "when we remember updates".

Anyhow...

🐄 🥩 Brisket is back in stock but we're out of sirloin steaks! Plenty of ground beef, burgers, roasts and NY steaks.

🐖 Pork is low thanks to your overwhelming support. We're still look for another pork farmer to do the spring pig, we'll keep you posted as we know more.

🐄 🥛Cow milk has been consistently in stock. We've even regularly had chocolate milk! And this week a new flavor of chocolate peanut butter!

🐐🥛 Goat milk has been out but we temporarily have some from Swiss Villa.

🥚Soy-free organic non-gmo eggs are back in stock and we've got plenty! The ladies have been working hard 🐓

🥚we have plenty of regular eggs

Lots of new free samples and Easter basket stuffers.

We also have moved the sale items to the produce island so you can see them better. Since we don't have produce in season at the moment, we thought those would help.

🍗🧀 We're still looking for a poultry farm and cheese maker. If you know someone, please let them know, we'd love to chat with them. Must have all applicable licenses and permits.

We had hoped to highlight maple products the month of March but since the season is still underway, we are low on products. So we're launching the spring skin care items and chocolate Marshamallows bunnies early!

Non toxic skin care items include:

•Mineral sunscreen

•Aloe lotion (for when you forget the sun screen)

•Tick spray and citronella candles

•Dusting powder

•Drawing salve and gardener's soap for bug bites, bees stings and poison ivy

We'll work to get you more maple goodies once the sap workers get a minute to breath.

Thank you to all who came to our first make-and-take event! It was a full house but cozy!

We panicked beucase at the last minute we saw more folks click "going" on FB after the class was full. But it turns out that some meant to come next week and one was already RSVP'd as someonems plus one. There is still room in next week's class for those wanting to make their own lip-balm.

Parking worked out great and it was early enough to be done in the daylight.
