This week's meet the staff is Veronica!!

Where are you from, and how did you come to the farm?

"I'm originally from Houston, Texas. My first encounter with Upriver was through an 'Understanding Place' class at U of O. I've become very passionate about sustainable agriculture as well as food sovereignty and centered my college career around it. I wanted to experience farming at a larger scale, and Upriver has allowed me to fulfill this while expanding my agricultural skills."

If youve been thinking of signing up for a CSA but not sure where to start, our fall Cropshare is perfect. Its only a 5 week season, there will be lots of storage crops so your veggies will last while you figure out what you want to cook with them.
Heres the info:
Fall Season Cropshare goes from October 21st through November 18th
What to expect with your box
Weekly produce, you will pick up on Wednesdays. Lots of greens, herbs, and fall crops like winter squash, root veggies, cured alliums, and fall fruits as available.
Some member perks are; 20% off at our farmers market booth, a vacation credit, Weekly newsletter with recipes, field notes, and more!

Here's some insider information...
These sweet mini bells are a farmer favorite here at Upriver.
They are just so delicious, crunchy and so nice for snacking you often hear many loud crunching sounds in the fields on harvest days.
We will have some in the Farm Stand today and at Lane County Farmers Market tomorrow so come by and get your share of these sweet peppers!🫑

Meet the staff! Andie edition,

"I am from Sonoma County California! I moved to Eugene in 2022.
I got hired in our farm stand in 2024, then worked in the field, and now I manage our farmers markets, social media, and work in the field!

What brought me to the farm was a search for a better work place. I was looking for a place that I could love, and where I could learn. We spend so much of our time at work why be somewhere that drags you down? When I got this job it was exactly what I was looking for. Good people, good work, good vibes only.✨️ And there's always something new to learn!
