Miss Mona's Sauces LLC

Miss Mona's Sauces LLC Miss Mona's was started in late 2007. I used to buy store brand products and doctor them up to get the taste I wanted. Descriptions are below.

I thought if I had to spend so much time on someone elses product, I may as well create my own. Miss Monas offers a wide variety of BBQ Sauces, Hot Sauces & Salsas. Each grouping is listed in order of heat levels...with the first being the mildes to the last being the hottest. BBQ Sauces

Caribbean BBQ:molasses based with cinnamon, thyme, yellow onion and green onion

Sweet & Spicy: a blend of pea

ches, orange juice concentrate, crushed red peppers, jalapeno peppers, maple flavoring and seasonings

Beer: tomato sauce, beer, Tabasco, hickory flavoring

Honey Mustard:This is not Mickey D's Honey Mustard. It gets it's heat from cayenne pepper and black pepper. Hot Sauces:

Wing: tomato sauce, hot salsa chiles, vinegar & water. Similar to a Frank's sauce, just better

Diablo: same as above but with added seasonings to make it thicker and a little more bite. Hellfire: made with the habanera pepper

Brimstone: made with the ghost pepper

Liquid Lucifer: a combination of the garden salsa chile, habanera and the ghost. Salsas:

Peach: peaches, red pepper, red onion, jalapeno peppers, brown sugar

Tropical: a combination of crushed pineapple, papaya and mango along with red peppers, red onions and jalapenos. The Peach and Tropical are sweet with a little bit of heat. Southwestern: tomatoes, black beans and corn. I have mild , medium, hot and extra hot tomato based salsas as well. All are the exact same recipe except for the pepper used. Mild uses the jalapeno
Medium is the garden salsa chile
Hot uses the habanera
Extra Hot is the ghost pepper

To kep things simple all are priced at $5.00 each + 3% WV sales tax.

to those of you who have been asking about my products and shows. I have not been participating or producing any products this year. Don't have the money to proceed at this time. All of my products I have on hand are at the soon the ex's and I don't know what I havr nor the space to put them in this apartment. I apologize, but my life takes precedence Be patient.. I will be back.

Mountain State Arts & Crafts Fair was wonderful this weekend. Toady was slow but this was by best show saleswise to date. I think the crafter gods are finally giving us a break

I had a customer ask me why I chose canola oil over olive oil for my vinaigrettes so here is my response: Canola is more heart healthy and costs less. I can buy 5 gallons of canola for $30 vs $20 for 1 gallon of olive. This way I can keep my price points down for my customers. Money is tight in this economy and I want to make my products affordable to all.
Thoughts?

Had a good time at Gilmore Elementary last night. The staff was friendly and there was a good turnout. I told them that if they ever wanted me to do an actual presentation to like the older kids on starting a food business that I'd be happy to do so
