Some days on the farm you don't even touch plants or animals. You do all the projects...

Today we did all the things including cementing in some replacement fence posts, chipping all the limbs we've timmed, putting up the new retractable hose, spreading gravel, and weeding.

The house may be a mess and my back might hurt a bit, but dang if the yard and garden aren't starting to look fabulous!

We all see the videos and memes about sitting in your garden relaxing, sipping coffee, and the women always seem to be in a beautiful summer dress without a care in the world.

Two things:

1. Did you know you can sit and relax in your garden anytime of the year? It may just look different...like sitting on soil bags taking a break while turning your compost pile in early spring, while simultaneously looking at the rest of said garden and making a mental list of all the things you still need to do. 😵‍💫

2. Depending on the time of year, the dress is completely optional. Today are my $10 leggings circa 2020 paired with crocs and a kirkland sweatshirt. 😂

Gardening does not and usually is not perfect, instagram ready, or have to be life altering.

Start where you're at, with what you have, and keep learning. Mistakes will be made, you will get dirty, and don't compare yourself to social media.

The more you know, the more they grow!
