Gary Leo Kroeger, age 81, of Lecompton, KS, passed away Friday, February 24th, 2023 atPioneer Ridge Assisted Living in Lawrence, KS following a brief illness. I am sorry to say with the heaviest of hearts...We lost a good one..
My Dad Gary Kroeger passed on Friday February 24th. He was a Great Man that lived his life on the positive side.

I was so proud and honored to share a life of Kroeger's Country Meats with him and my Mom Linda for 39 years. Not only a great business man, he was a Great Husband, Great Dad & An Awesome Grandpa...
I know everyone respected & loved his zest for life. He will be greatly missed.
Services are still pending but I will post when we have them set.
I would appreciate if everyone sends their condolences my way for now and let my mom settle in with her grief.
Gary appreciates all the love and support you will send our way.
He is still keeping a close eye on us.

Hello Kroeger's Country Meats Family & Friends...
The Bitter Sweet moment has come and we are very Happy to announce that Chad & Renate Rea are the new owners of our property...
They already are a part of the Lecompton Community. They moved in the area a few years back. They have two grown adult children and two younger children that attend the Lecompton/Perry Schools. Since they have established residency in the rural area of Lecompton they immediately feel in love with the area & the community.
So now they really want to place their roots in Lecompton and invest their life into serving the community. Their fresh ideas and contagious energy are just what we were looking.

Our decision to sell did not come lightly. But it is time for the 3 of us to step back and enjoy each others company with out all the responsibilities....(that would always come first).

WE THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of our hearts for the last 39 years. The friendships that have been made over the many years are irreplaceable & what kept us going...but also the hardest thing to walk away from..
We will miss you all, but will look forward to seeing you out & about.
Thank You Jay Taylor from Colliers.... your dedication to our little family business means so much to us...WE appreciate you working with us so we could find the right family to carry on serving the Lecompton Community.

So PLEASE GO WELCOME and VISIT the Rea's once they get their vision in place and up and running! We are so very excited for them and we have NO DOUBT you all will be too.

HEADS UP REMINDER..... we are no longer operating a retail walk in business.
We are choosing to retire the store front so we can start living a better quality of life.
WE have given 38 years to serving the public and it has taken it's toll on our well being..
So that being said...WE Thank each and everyone of you that has supported us over the many years of hustle & bustle. It gave us enough energy to keep going for 38 years. But it is time for us to stop & smell the meat....
Do not be sad for us...for we are very happy and looking forward to our new change of pace.
