At Little River Park, 5/24, 6/28, 7/26, 8/23 & 9/27, 3:30pm to 6:30pm. Or visit our local Lee farms for…vegetables, fruits, bakery, lamb, pork, beef, elk, flowers, cheese, honey, syrup, canola oil, plants, crafts, soaps, fudge, music, scone overs in many flavors, sunflower oil, corn, berries, varieties of bread, muffins, and pies...YUM!

🌽 Can a corn husk predict winter?

Old-time farmers believed that thick corn husks were nature’s way of preparing for a long, cold winter. According to this piece of weather folklore, ears of corn develop extra layers of protection when harsh weather lies ahead.

While modern science doesn’t support this as a reliable forecasting method, it’s one of the many fascinating traditions that have been passed down through generations—and it’s still fun to watch for signs in the fields each late summer.
