Roadside Stand 2nd generation! This little building can now be found at Bone Acres Farm, as they bought it to expand on their fall market. They're opening this Saturday, so go check them out for some mums, pumpkins, corn, straw bales and more! It's right down the road from our (former) location.

As I've mentioned before, I simply don't have time to go to the Farmer's Market any longer. Of course, I'm still growing some flowers to make bouquets. One of the biggest changes is; most of the rows where I grew cut flowers have been adapted into wildflower rows. These are a mix of perennial and re-seeding annuals. If you have any interest in starting a wildflower field or zones in your yard, I was very satisfied with my seed mixes from American Meadows. You'll be amazed at how many birds, butterflies, bees and hummingbird moths you'll bring to your yard!

My neighbor right up the road has sweet corn and other produce at his roadside stand.

NOTICE:
We will not be selling at the Fayette County Farmer's Market this year!
I've tried to turn my love of flowers into something my daughters can take on, and I can just be their helper.
The reality: it's not really their interest and I'm not going to force them to pursue this. I'm thankful for my job at Skyline Material Sales (building material sales) and that keeps me tied down.
So you may be asking, "are you totally quitting Little Farmstead Flowers?"
The answer is no.
I'm still planning to grow flowers and make arrangements. My daughter Brooklynn wants to continue with dried floral. We just have too many things going in our lives to be tied down to the market every weekend.
Thanks to everyone who supported at the market, we will miss all the regulars and the other vendors!
