It is with great Sadness I have to announce DUE to Circumstances Beyond my control... that the Sweet Success Sugar Shack WILL NOT BE FIRING UP THIS YEAR
HOW EVER... I do plan on keeping our customers Supplied and HAPPY, which means I will have to buy other sugar makers Syrup to fill any orders AFTER my CURRENT SUPPLY is gone. it is VERY important that I do that as I Plan on firing up next year with the dream of being BIGGER... my dream is to turn the Sweet Success Sugar Shack into a full time business... hey I can dream can't I ??... if any body wants or needs to order Syrup. I will need some advance notice. and I will do my best to fill them..
this Saddens me very much as it is one thing I really look forward to every year.. but it will give the trees a break and give me a chance to DREAM BIG and hopefully come up with my solid game plan for next year
and to all my other sugar maker Friends... I wish you nothing but the BEST and SWEETEST year... LET THE SAP FLOW!!!

About eight miles outside of Talkeetna nestled in a grove of birch trees resides an unassuming home that happens to be the headquarters for the largest manufacturer of birch syrup in the world.

Harvest 2014 finished ... it was a short one due to low snow and high temps - 16 days only. But we had an incredible crew and we all worked our tails off to pull off what we did. Final figures not quite in, but will be short of 2013. So a bit less birch syrup in the world this year. We'll hope for cooler temps and more snow next year!
