Finished planting everything this past week, thanks to a couple good workers.
The other pictures are of past plantings that are really looking good. Timely rains and some sunshine. Things look pretty good.
The picture of all the flags is Carson's garden, and the electric fence is to keep the deer on the outside of the garden. Potatoes, onions are growing great.
Some things will be ready in about a month!!!!

We continued to plant on Saturday, hoping and praying for moisture to come, and it did. So very, very, thankful for the rain. Everything we have planted should have a good start. The workers are planting squash, gourds, and a few pumpkins.

We continue to plant the seeds, but no plants yet. There's frost in the ditch again this morning. Yesterday was Carson's turn to start planting his garden. Notice he is trying a new technique this year. Last year he planted his sunflowers laying on the ground. This year he is trying standing up and planting. We will see which way works out the best. Carson loves growing sunflowers. This year he is planting 7 different varieties of them. It will be fun watching them grow. You can watch for them in the field just north of the house.

The first 2 plantings of sweet corn is up. Hopefully they do not get frost bit too much.

We have been cutting and sorting for the last 2 days. Also got some purple ones we are going to try. Must mean we are doing the garden for another year!!

We just got back from our yearly seed potato run to Baker, MN., by Fargo. As usual, we also brought back some eating potatoes. Beautiful large red potatoes from the Red River Valley. We are having some tonight. Nice solid potatoes. There was some hollow center in a few of them. Doesn't hurt anything, just wanted you to know.

Merry Christmas from The Harvest. Here are a few pictures of our family and a few pictures of this past summer, so we can dream of those times to come in the spring again. We sometimes don't appreciate the warm weather until winter comes and we look back on some pictures of those warm days!

We hope you and your families have a very blessed Christmas. It is always so grand when families can be together to celebrate the birth of our Lord. What a gift!!!

Our plans for next year will be to follow what we did last year. Full selection of vegetables starting mid July, and a shortened pumpkin season in the fall. Final plans to be worked out, but we plan to be here for you again. I know Carson is sure planning on having his garden here again, so he will have a few things to sell also.

Another growing season in the books. We are so thankful to all of you for supporting us during our vegetable season and our shortened fall season. The short pumpkin time we were open worked for us, and we think this could work for us next year, Lord willing. We got to do a few fall things that we have been wanting to do for several years. We realize this is not the best for you, but this is one way we can continue the pumpkins. We will see what next year brings.

Also thanks to our workers, Tyler, Jack, Landon, Holden, Lainey, Levi, and Carson.
