Market Day is finally here :-)

Isabel packaged these beautiful, tasty and organically grown Blueberries and they will be taken to the Meigs County Farmers' Market :-)
And besides those we will have Tinctures, salves, jams, Apple Cider Vinegar, Sauerkraut and plants.
Blackberry, Goji berry, Josta berry, Raspberry, Elderberry, Horseradish, Tiger Lilies, and even Rose of Sharon .

The weather is on our side today, sunny but not too hot, so, come and see us at the Market :-)

Sauerkraut and its Health Benefits.

I did not know about this one until recently.
PM me if you want me to bring you some to the Meigs County Farmers' Market tomorrow.
Jalapeno Kraut has a little bite, Horseradish Kraut has only a feint taste of Horseradish.

Black Raspberries are starting to ripen :-) :-)We will be able to bring a few pints of them along side with Blueberries ...

We will be able to bring a few pints of them along side with Blueberries to the Meigs County Farmers' Market this Saturday.

Isabel is making Strawberry popsicles and Strawberry Ice cream for me and our friends, but let me tell you, I hope we will have enough of the Black Raspberries for her to make Ice cream out of them.
It is the BEST :-)

A new batch of what was an experiment adding Horseradish with hopes for a different tasting Kraut.
Well, I did not know how much Horseradish to add, and you can barely taste it.
Almost "Normal" Sauerkraut :-) :-)

FSF General Production Update

Well, Blueberry season is almost here, those bushes which survived have plenty of berries, but the number of plants is down considerably . Which means there will not be U-Pick season on them, we will be selling them already picked only. Sorry about that :-(
Blackberries, on the other side are going wild :-) :-) If everything goes well, there will be unlimited U-Pick for those starting in July :-)

There were not too many Paw-paw blooms earlier in the Spring to start with and the late Frost hurt most of the rest. Same as our Hardy Kiwis . There will be some but not too many :-(.

Mary found a couple of hours for helping us again. She is tying Blackberry canes which are "out of order" :-) to the wire.

Meigs County Farmers' Market
and I am getting ready for it :-)

Fresh organically grown Strawberries are quite limited, come early for those :-)
Isabel made a new jam out of our Mulberries and Strawberries, yummy :-)
Tinctures and salves.
Plants: Blackberries, Strawberries, Elderberry, Goji Berry, Tiger Lilies and more.
Looks like we will have a decent weather this morning for the Market :-) :-)
Live music, activities for kids, great and friendly atmosphere, you should not miss it :-),

Meet Hopi :-)
We are "babysitting him, and he liked being here for a few days, getting alone well with the rest of our cats and Duchess . But now it is the second day we have not seen him.
He is super nice and friendly.

If you live near to our Farm please keep your eyes open for him.

Strawberries and more Strawberries :-)

Isabel harvested them last evening when it got cooler and spent 3 hours this morning to do the same. She is separating the best ones for sale and the rest will go to jam and popsicle making.
Look, after I threatened my mushroom log I burn them :-) :-) some Shiitake mushrooms popped up :-)
And Flowers. I love to grow them and Isabel Enjoys them :-)
