And just like that...... Chestnut time is here :-)

There were several people interested in picking them, please PM me and we will go from there.
$ 20 per gallon.
There was only one open yesterday and it seems like 25% of them are already open today :-)

Look what is all available at our Front Porch Store (and much more :-) )
Do you know that something called Winged Beans exists? :-) Isabel asked me to grow them, so, I did :-)
Fresh Okra, Green and Purple, Asian Long Beans, Asian Long Eggplant, Bitter Melon. and our Yellow Tomatillo which became and immediate Hit at the last FM in Pomeroy. Everybody who tried it, bought it. Yes, it is that good and in my opinion it is more suitable for fresh eating than cooking with it as it is sweet and crunchy.
All kinds of tomatoes, The Queen of the Night included.
Limited Razzmatazz grapes and gradually increasing production of the "edible" Muscadines.
A few smaller watermelons left and other goodies.
If you plan a trip to our Farm, it is a good idea to message me in advance as I am NOT around the house most of the time :-)

Muscadine season is starting :-)

Scheduled Muscadine grape U-pick is here.
These Bronze grapes are meant to be used for jellies, juices or wine as their skin is quite tough for eating. Some people do anyway :-)
Probably 3-4 gallons available at this time. $ 15 per gallon.
PM me if you want to come and pick them please.

You know what is amazing about Farmers Markets?

You build up a trust of some of your customers who come on weekly basis to your stand, knowing, they are getting the best and healthiest produce, open to try new, less known produce and incorporate it in their diet.
Her basket was filled with basically everything our Farm produces before she left.
Some people do not realize how freshness of most produce is important for life giving energy. But some, thankfully, do.
I am lucky than to have customers like her in my life. Thank you :-)

Almost ready for Meigs County Farmers' Market :-)

I am pretty sure the rain will be gone by the time the Market starts :-)
And I will be able to offer all what our Farm produces at this time.
Not tons of any but all fresh and organically grown here at our Farm.
Do not be discouraged by the weather, it will turn much nicer shortly :-)

Most of us Gardeners like to plant something new to try it out each year.
One of the plants I planted this year is yellow Tomatillo Chupon de Malinalco.
It was a lucky choice in this case :-)
Sweet, crunchy, refreshing, and I LOVE eating them raw as one of the Nature's candy.
It seems unaffected by insects or diseases, a perfect addition to our garden.
I will be bringing some of them with me to Meigs County Farmers' Market this Saturday, come to try them out :-)
